  1. It reads 10psi at idel and 5-6psi WOT. I replace the fuel filter and replaced the fuel pressure sender and still the same.
  2. I have got a fuel pressure gauge and I just replaced the fuel filter to see if that was the case.
  3. Yep that was the first thing I did and then I replaced the FP sending unit.
  4. How hard was it to install the draw straw? Do you have to drop the tank? ---------- Post added at 09:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:38 AM ---------- I read somewhere about the raptor does not need an return line? Isn't that the way the injection pump keeps cool by cycleing fuel throught the overflow vavle back to the tank? If I do away with that how is the pump going to keep fuel cycleing through the pump to keep it cool?
  5. I have not noticed any fuel spraying out anywhere so I guess it is the lift pump. How long can you run low psi to the injection pump before you hurt something? Like I said in the begining I thought the fuel pressure sending unit went bad so I had drove it for like a couple week like it is now. Hopefully I did not hurt the VP . From what I can see the raptor lift pump comes with the big line kit. Is that correct? Does anyone have the raptor? How does it perform? Any problems? How easy is it to install? Thanks
  6. Are you guys sure its my lift pump going out. Is there anything I can check to make sure its not something else. I sure hate to buy a lift pump and that not fix my problem:ahhh:
  7. Thats good I think it will be a good system. What advantage do you have with like the air dog with the separate filters?
  8. The fass is actually a ddrp 2. I am thinking I want to go with the raptor just because it has adjustable fuel pressure screw. Its alittle more expensive like $380. I think thats the way i am going to go unless they have big problems with them also.
  9. I am looking at a FASS lift pump that replaces the stock pump. Is this a good lift pump? They want $275 for it. What other brands are there?
  10. Would you recommend stock or aftermarket transfer pump. Is the transfer pump also called the lift pump?
  11. Ok. I see you guys say 20-15 psi on fuel pressure is good. I got some gauges and it reads 10psi at idel and 5-6psi WOT. I thought maby I hooked up the gauge wrong and so I did it again and I am sure its right. Now what do I need to do. Truck never studders and starts good hot or cold. Truck runs good really if I did not have gauges I would not be able to tell the difference. I dont want to run the VP low on fuel since that all that lubs it. What should I do?
  12. Ok Thanks. I think I am going to get the posi-lok instead of screwin around with the vacuume lines. After my bank account has the money of course.
  13. Do you pull on a cable or twist the handle?
  14. [quote name=' But as for following my path your very safe in power. It when you start really getting into power is when problems occur. But I would upgrade you fuel system before you even think of power upgrades...[/quote'] I am putting on a bully Dog torque dog on My 01 with out any fuel upgrades. On the top noch it gives 65 extra HP. Is this enough to need to upgrade my fuel system. What do you recommend for fuel system upgrades?
  15. Would you say a 4" is better or a 5" pipe? I like em loud. Dont bother me one bit. Right now I am running a 3" straight pipe. I want to upgrade but not sure if I want a 4" or 5" pipe. I do want to keep the drone down. What are the pros and cons on these 2 exhaust systems?
  16. I have never heard of a CAD. What is it? ---------- Post added at 07:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:46 PM ---------- Never mind I figured it out( Central Axle Disconnect:smart:) ---------- Post added 04-19-2010 at 06:46 PM ---------- Previous post was 04-18-2010 at 07:56 PM ---------- I was thinking I would just replace that stupid Vacuume activator with the posi lok. Posi Lok would do the same thing as the vacuume activator does right. I thing the posi lok would be WAY more reliable than the what on there. Any Suggestions or good points?
  17. Will have to go to town to get a vacuume gauge. What should the gauge read if the vacuume pressure is good. Could I replace the hubs with manual lock outs for this truck? Would they be a good idea or should I keep the auto locking hubs? Thanks for all the help.
  18. Either my FP sender is going bad or I need to change my fuel filter because I cant get over 10psi idel on mine. Around 5-6 psi WOT. :banghead:
  19. Where would I start? What else does the vacuume control? Could my hubs possibly going out. Do I just get a regular vacuume gauge like what you would put in the cab or are there a different one? I would probually just get it at an auto store right??
  20. Ok. The 4x4 works sometimes and not other times. The light rarely comes on when in 4x4. To start things off I was out driving in some snow this winter in 4x4(or at least the lever was in 4x4) and I was going up a small hill and all of a sudden the 4x4 quit working. I never heard any grinding or anything. 4x4 hi and 4x4 lo was both the same. I moved the lever from Hi to Lo several time and then It started working. So I figured the linkage was out of adjustment. So next day I adjusted it and it seemed to work although the light was not on. Couple weeks later I ran into some mud and got it stuck. Turns out the 4x4 still was not working right. After moving the lever from hi to lo several time it finually worked and still there was not light. I backed it up out of the mud and stoped and put truck in Park. Got out to get something and got back in and put it in reverse and I was in a little wet grass and and the 4x4 quit working so I was just spinning. I have heard alot of people say "Oh you have a vacuum line leak". But they say if it leaks then your cruise control will not work. But my cruise control work great, no problem. Any ideas on what is wrong and how I can fix it.
