Here is idea...
That is a great idea. The ACLU may have had its place some years ago, now they verge on being domestic terrorists. I guess that's what happens when lawyers pretend to be concerned about the underprivileged, file frivolous law suits against people, churches, Boy Scouts and the government (it has big pockets) and with the proceeds of these won lawsuits have power and funds to find another so called "infringement"When was the last time they stepped up to help where $$$ was not a prize or when they actually went after an entity that did not have some large degree of religious or moral foundation.I'll step off my soap box.Merry Christmas.... Do something nice for someone, and don't put "X-mas" that's what the ACLU wants.

Ok how old are you???
Maybe an atari 2600 give away to lure more people in their 30's & 40's. Actually its kind of refreshing not to see so many posts about how some guy installed an edge juice, stacked it with an EZ and 150HP injectors and his stock trans and turbo are doing just fine, and that he's even got 300 miles on the set up with no problems...LOL

Best Power-adder w/o VP44 wire tap
with the HO you will not see a full 65HP out of an EZ or similar, plan on about 40-50HP as the HO will respond better to injectors. If you have 150K+ on your injectors I would do them, if not a chip. Lots of people have them laying around like me from a previous upgrade. You can pick them up all day long for $200.plan on slipping your clutch at about 100-140HP over stock. MPG will be same as stock for 100HP inj and under, and at 150HP you should lose about 0.5mpg

BHAF filters...
I think the black looks nice. w/o an outerwears you will only get about 30k out of it, less if you live with dust. I was too cheap to buy one and now am ready to replace my 3rd BHAF since I bought the truck at 120k.You will spend about $80 for BHAF + outerwears shipped.

Silencer Ring or Not
I like my Cummins quiet. I spent a full day and $300+ in materials to quiet down my truck cab. Made a good difference. There is no way to silence these motors but it does make phone calls easier.

no power
are you referring to the overflow valve on the side of the VP44 as the check valve? they are about $40 and should hold about 15psi, if it is opening sooner then you not have the proper fuel pressure. BTW BOSCH RV275 injectors are less $$ than stock injectors

Reliability advice requested
A raptor is pretty easy to install. A raptor is rated at 95GPH or 150GPH. It will flow much more that the DDRP (rated at 40GPH) and your stock is close to 25GPH. The Raptor has a lifetime warranty, does a much better job of keeping fuel pressure up. you can get teh airdog with the extra filters, but its not necessary on the vp44 trucks, but highly recommend on the 3rd gen commonrails as they are very picky about contaminated fuel. I have a promotion right now where you can get a raptor 100 for $389 and then get rebates for a final cost of less than $350 shipped. The promotion is 11-13% off all purchases after rebate. Give me a call if I can help. 951-377-4844 JKIDD

trans upgrades, on a budget.
doing a valvebody and good single disk torque converter will be good for that power. If your trans is already weak/tired get a rebuild kit and have it freshened.

Best place to buy guages?
The glow shifts are cheap, and the glossy finish on them makes them harder to read. I prefer the Isspro gauges as I sometimes have trouble getting Dipricol gauges in stock. I can get you a good deal on either.

Scan Gauge showed up....
$149.95 shipped, should be placing an order this week

Edge Mileage Max Module
It ads timing. Very similar to the EZ on the lowest setting, where no extra fuel is sent through the CAN BUS.I would rather spend my money on a used EZ, or Quadzilla XZT+ or Max Mileage. They are cheaper, offer more power if you decide to change settings and do the same thing to timing and increase your mileage. From the factory the engine is detuned by retarding timing. It is an emissions thing because increased timing increases in cylinder temps which leads to more oxides of nitrogen, with a loss of about 20hp. When you add the timing you get back about 20hp that was lost due to emissions.

4:10s MPG
22.5mpg is very respectable. Make sure it is filled all the way to the neck overflow to get an accurate reading. Best i ever got with my 2wd 6spd and 4.10 gears was 21.3 at 67-68mph over 630miles. 22.5 is excellent.
