Misfire...stall
Thanks for the input. I had some issues with batteries all along as I think back. Current set are matched replace new in spring. I'm Having bad luck with these Botsch batteries, but the deal was right and if I get free replacement every spring oh well. I'll look over the batteries again... I'm always diligent with my gas autos on this case. I had tranny issues on this truck (spare tranny on shelf as proof), and I think this years new batteries fixed that. I'll check those and the procedure as you said. Thanks....talking a new camper in VA, so I better get this fixed or I'll need to borrow a duramax!

Misfire...stall
Tried to look over some old discussions but cant find what I'm looking for. 99 24 valve with auto. Stock with about 150K on it. Sat for a few yrs till I started running it. Been doing ok, then started to "hick-up" or lope on me. Sitting idle or under power on road. Cant seem to understand. It'll just puff two three times in row. Expected it was a dirty injector. When I firsted started to run it 2 yrs ago I installed a draw straw plumbed into factory lines. Everything was good. I expected this was a dirty injector, started to treat with inj. cleaner. The "burps" kept getting worse to suddenly not starting after sort ride (warm). Ofcourse I expect no the lift pump, so I just ordered a DDRP (back-ordered) Then I saw one thread on here about "key on LP run 1 sec., bump starter...lift pump 25 sec run" that should mean the ok lift pump.... So is it the VP? I have no codes. Ofcourse I am sinning and not running any gauges. They are on way too. Should I install DDRP or not? Whats the order I should progress. Could this simply be a issue of a loose injector line or air getting into line or someting? Ideas?

Edge EZ
Alittle off subject, but I got an EZ problem. Got an EZD100 from an '01 user. I want to put on my 99. I want to put it on my 99 but I didn't get the adapter cable to tie the 4 pin flat wire to my triangular map sensor plug. Long to short. Anyone want to sell their unused EZ adapter?

Drawstraw Troubles (gromment)
Not sure what your AirDog straw is like. But I'm pretty sure when I got my Vulcan they had lots of grommets to fit lots-o-sizes. I do agree w your clearance issues with bed. Really pisses me off. Something to revise in warmer weather.

Drawstraw
After a delayed shipment got the new straw in. Not too happy with parts supply. New straw went in module great but I received a stock quick connect fuel return nipple and a snap lock hose barbed nipple. Didn't want to cut factory. I rigged a new stock end nipple and started rolling coal

Drawstraw
Got w/ Eric at Vulcan and have a draw straw on order for next Monday. Far cry cheaper than the dealers cost to fix if I can "shade tree" the parts.

What tires can i fit?
are you running stock suspension Prowelder? I'm leaning to 285's myself, but I like to have a full wheelwell, even as hard as it is in a Ram.

What tires can i fit?
I'd like to see some 2nd Gen 2500's with different tires sizes to evaluate. 265's 285's...305's and 315's

Both dealers I called said I would need the entire fuel module. $489. Uhhhh NO! So i dropped a line to Eric @ Vulcan. We'll see what he recommends and order it up.

Got the tank down. A little trouble around the carrier bearing but no blood. The steel supply and returns were rusted so bad they twisted right off. I'm off to dealer to see if I can just get those. If not it's a call to Vulcan. Rusted lines within the "red ring" Whats the other two plugs in this picture? The vent I assume (9 o'clock) appears to have a hose barb on it, but no hose when I pulled down.

:ahhh:My point is the dealer parts man (stupid or confused) tried to tell me I can only get the entire "basket" assemby ($650)... which blew my mind. and from my minumal knowledge I'm not in-tank with pump. I cant get my hands on any pics/vids of a stock "basket" to think this thru. I'm just not picturing the assembly and what may be broke.

Pac Brake Tight
Are your vents working properly in the cab? (A/C, vents, floor, def)

Pac Brake Tight
1999 2500, 4X4 auto stock... 147K, inherit from Step Dad. Truck sat for about 4 yrs, monthly starting.PacBrake isnt actuating. I can assume it could have frozen (rusted linkage) or a relax/vaccuum issue. Ideas to check? I'm getting light on the powered dash switch, so its alittle more than a grounding issue. Can I disconnect linkage and action it loose?

Light/Lens Restoration Kit

thanks for the input. The empty tank dropping seemed best bet to me, but I'm the new guy here. Do you think the Vulan straw will fix my leak? Cant wait to get a fuel tank on my forehead:smart:

1999 2500, 4X4 auto stock... 147K, inherit from Step Dad. Truck sat for about 4 yrs, monthly starting. steel lines from the top of level sending unit is leaking fuel badly. (i.e. painting line paint in the street bad). I'm wanting to order and put in Drawstraw I from Vulcan. From what I "can" see it def the steel line. Wil the Vulcan handle the fix? Also the $50 question, drop a half tank of fuel or pull the bed...and where are your vids on either choice? Thanxs..
