  1. Mine set to 340 , for the short amount of time I wasn't have fuel leak and cam sensor issues started better than any Cummins I have ever been around.. Barely hit the key and it was running.. For fun I tried starting once at 15ºf with out waiting for grids and it hadn't ran for 13+hrs and it started instantly.. Coughed and sputtered for maybe 5 seconds before smoothing out.
  2. Seems like it... But honestly the dramatic lack of smoke is enough too justify the higher pop.. No real ill effects to popping at 335-345 and that should settle to the best area that we have come up with
  3. Codes again last night during hard pull. Started cutting out with occasional tach drop and codes P0500 speed sensor P1690 cam sensor and injection pump disagreement P1693 companion
  4. Now it has started to randomly rev up on its own while sitting at idle it did it once and I didn't know what the hell happened it did it again while I was standing right outside and then it did it a third time and I was able to data log it. I was sitting at idle parking brake on in neutral I did not touch anything and it randomly revved to about 1,400 RPM like a quick wide open throttle Rev. I'll attach the data log @Me78569 can you graph this and/or look at it when you get a second.. It should be right towards the end rev.csv
  5. Well it only misses on hard (wot or close) pulls and only around 2500 rpm.. Idk if that seems like loose connections really.. Idk I'm lost.. I have looked everything over with no luck...
  6. I forgot to mention that my fuel gauge has been acting funny and bottoming out randomly. It usually happens when cold. And also tonight I got in my truck and the trip meter on the dash decided to reset on its own to zero. I do not want to believe that I have an electrical bug any ideas help here
  7. My factory one failed, that's why I replaced it. All those symptoms were from the factory one. Then I replaced and it seemed ok for a few days then new, but similar symptoms.
  8. Mine doesn't have one crank sensor..is it common for aftermarket cam sensors to fail in a week?
  9. About 3 weeks ago I started to get a check engine light with a cam position sensor code, that I cannot remember the number of, a speed sensor code p0500 and a p1693. It would come up after a hard pull. I let off the throttle the tack would drop and the check engine light to come on. It continued to get worse. It also had a random miss or stumble at idle. It was very audible through the exhaust and it would just do it every once in awhile and is kind of hard to explain. Just a random blip through the exhaust. Then one night my grid heater started pulling down so hard that it would kill my headlights and dash lights. They were kicking on and off randomly off time and pulling so hard that it even killed the truck couple times. Then randomly the truck over charged and pegged the gauge out at 18 volts. Luckily this happened when I was on my way to town to change the cam sensor anyway. I got that changed out and all the symptoms disappeared. I'm about 3 days later I did another hard Pull in this time it completely cut out around 2500 rpm multiple times. Attack would drop no check engine light and it did it on any setting on my quad. Even with the quad turned off on stock settings it did it. Also the blip or miss at idle is back. It had gone away a few days after cam sensor replacement... Truck actually ran better than ever right after I replaced that...I am kind of at a loss and I just and idea stuck in my head that it's something like the ECM or vp44 even though my wait to start light kicks on right away. Any ideas would be appreciated I will attach a data log from when the truck was cutting out on hard acceleration. There should be two separate pulls one on setting 3 one on setting zero sorry for any typo..voice to speech isn't the best thing in the world sorry if the data logs overlap. I do not have a way to make these into a graph sorry stockmiss.csv missing.csv I also forgot to mention that for about the last 2 or 3 weeks it has also randomly started and shut right back off about 5 times only one really cold. It has done this maybe three or four times total but each time that it does it the engine fire sup and dies about 5 times
  10. Well I'm hoping that it solved the chuggin under high load high RPM. But it was causing some very strange things. It was making the grid heaters cycle so hard it would kill my headlights and all my interior lights. Sometimes it would even kill the engine it pulled so hard. Then it randomly overcharged to 18 volts. All this started happening one night. But the three weeks prior every time I would do a hard Pole right when I let off my calf would drop off and I would get a check engine light. It was starting to idle fairly rough randomly it would just kind of get a quick Miss at idle and sound kind of goofy then it would come right out of it and just go back and forth. That is gone now I have not had an opportunity to check to see if the high load chugging is gone because the roads have been covered in ice and snow.
  11. Honestly I have heard nothing but good about him, but I have had a not so pleasant experience with him or his product... I will not be referring anyone to him any longer (I gave him a hand full of customers even after the problems started) and I regret that for those people.. Maybe I had bad luck but either way that's what happened to me and where I stand with him.
  12. I think that I may have found some of my runability issues.. Cam sensor failed... Also found out a bad cam sensor can cause a ton of very very strange symptoms! Lol got my fuel leak sealed up finally as well.. Now just to wait until the roads dry up after the 6"of snow tonight so I can really put these to the test!
  13. Seems that I have nailed mine starting at 340 bar. Sorry I haven't tested much lately been dealing with tons of work (just bought a bedliner business) and to worried about fixing my fuel leak, that I finally got fixed yesterday ? thank god. Once the weather clears up I will get videos and data!
  14. Well.. It started with my first set of injectors about 5-6 years ago.. 7x.010 sac at 305 bar... They loped like a damn hot rod with a big cam..cool for 5 minutes then hurt utterly annoying, tried new o rings, and washers with no help. He suggested trying those things and was okay with communication but never offered to pay for them or send them to me I had to buy them myself from a local injection shop. I ended up just running with it for just over 4 years before I overhauled my engine. He had offered to go through them if I sent them back but I never had any opportunity to take them out because my truck was my daily driver. When I overhauled I sent them into him and he came up with the problems of the pop pressure being lower than desired and the tips needed worked over, as he described, because the flow rates were not up to par. After this I decided to go with the new "street" 6x.013 sac 150º 305 bar injectors that he just came out with. He allowed me to upgrade to those over the previous injectors for 250 bucks which I thought was fair. I got these ones and they never ran right smoked like a train missed at higher RPMs never had great power along with a multitude of other issues that took me many months to figure out. I tried talking to him over and over but he would respond with one sentence about every week. He even refused to read any threads I had started that explain everything instead he would just ask one question and then be gone for a week and then ask one more question and be gone for a week. After waiting I finally gave up and sent them in and bought some new ones from dap. Turns out that the nozzles work complete junk in that the flow rates were nowhere near correct. It sounds like they were not a atomizing fuel at all and that they were just kind of squirting and dripping out. I could probably go on for days about it but I think you get the jest of it. Sorry for any typos I'm doing voice to text Yes lol
  15. 21psi... I don't mean inlet fuel is running out I mean that the vp can't supply the fuel demanded.. Truck will even die when I let off after a hard pullc unless I stay on the throttle or in gear..
  16. I'm fairly certain my problem is just that my vp cannot keep up with the fuel demand....
  17. Here is a "chug" from me.. It comes in between 2600-3100 rpm but I might just be running out of fuel... This is on level 3 on my "extreme"tune.. I actually turned on the cel at the end of this pull. The tach dropped and the light came on.. P0500 and p1693..strange honestly this chugging wasn't as bad as usually chugcel.csv
  18. Its definitely a leak not residual fuel.... Running all the way off the back of the motor dripping off the bell housing I have sanded starting at 800-2500 with my finger tips multiple times... Mine does this too.. Sounds identical to what you described. I will data log it tonight... I can even watch it in the boost gauge
  19. What's your plan because I can't even think of any thing else or any other combination of things to try at this point.. I have done it million times a million different ways..even swapped injectors.. Stays on #2... I have used different O-rings swapped tubes swapped injectors tried every tightness loosen clamps to clamps off loosened injector tried it with every odd combination here and there in between all of those things. At this point the only thing I can conclude is my number two line and the used number to line that I bought to try to replace it are both bad
  20. I have..... No change
  21. Update.. My #2 line still leaks.. New o-ring, new line swapped tubes loosened injector.. I have tried a million things a million times.. Still f-ing leaks.. Irritated doesn't begin to describe it.. I have spent close to 10hrs total trying too fix this damn thing.. Going to swap #1 and #2 injectors next I guess...
  22. So I finally got my fuel leak fixed. All it took was a new(used) fuel line a new o-ring popping the injector out cleaning up that tips on the fuel line and crossover tube multiple times and taking the line off and on and off and on and injector in and out and in and out and trying to find no ring that would work in town. All in all almost 4 hours more work and it appears that the leak has stopped. The truck fire sup almost instantly period quicker than it has ever started before. I don't even know if it makes one fold turn before it fires up now. Uphill downhill cold or warm 0 degrees or 40 degrees doesn't matter it just fires right up. So now I'm thinking about getting a set of the same injectors set at 305 bar to do some testing and comparing.. Still up in the air I guess right now I have a couple choices. I sent in my old injectors and just found out that they were in fact junk. They were junk out of the box. Don't ever buy injectors from contagious diesel. But anyway I'm at a spot where I can have the same nozzles as I have now set the 305 bar for testing or I can do something like put a 125 horse power nozzle Giver take on those bodies and just sell them to regain some of my lost money. I just don't know what the right thing to do is. What do you guys think?
  23. That's not to far..depending where, 6hrs one way.... Pm me if you're really interested in something
  24. Drive down to Carroll Iowa..we'll swap! Lol
  25. I just want to go fast and do boosted launches
