Fast forward q couple of weeks ago the problem comes back :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:I run codes and got this list p1682 p0122 p0500 p0460 p1963 ignored it long enough then went out and bought a new APPS sensor changed it and the codes are now gone but IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING As much as I love my 24V I am that close to selling it, the last thing I am do is send the edge box out to be checked and install the second filter I got a while back on the ECU wire which will make them two one on Alt and one on the ecu wiresthis better work
  2. Does the factory replacement does not need adjustment ? I am thinking about getting one off eBay and it have long instruction to follow and some what complicated
  3. The shut down squeak is GONE after the damper was changed old one did not look all that beat to me !

  6. I tried to figure out if it was bad today but no luck other than seeing it shake while running so I ended up taking it to my friend's shop who looked at it and said it does need replacementNow where can I get one for a deal ? I am so broke its not even funny :banghead:

Changed the belt out about a year ago because it was older and that one went bad two days ago chewed up on the inside even the two day old belt is already starting to rip a little on the inside edge as well so I decided to look at all pulleys while moving and the damper pulley seems to have too much play can it be bad ? is this a common problem or anyone heard of such a thing before ? the part is a dealer only part so far and its $420 Anywhere else you know of sell them if I do need a new one ? --- Update to the previous post... This is on the 24V
  9. So I unplugged and plugged it back in today and nothing changed I Will test the wires tomorrow and make sure I need a new one Do I need a special socket to get it off ? anything I should look for before taking it of ?
  10. I found out its on the driver side top of the trans 2 wire plug thanks will check it out in morning
  11. is there a reverse sensor/plug on the trans ? does it send the signal out to the bulbs ? and or trailer reverse wire ? it worked fine the first couple of days after I picked the truck now its dead no reverse lights no backup alarm no trailer reverse power ! this is on my 98 3500 5 speed

  13. whats a good brand to buy ? I am in need of the sensor alone there is a gauge and all in the truck just my old sensor on the trans ( oil pan ) got a rusted tip and wire would not stay on there long enough that is a single wire sensor the other option is an aftermarket oil pan but does any of them come pre drilled for a temp sensor ?

Finally got some time to change it, I bought the kit from Larry B which was kind enough to send me a pair of gloves and a bandage ( non latex ) haha It was super easy to change out even the top bolt on the starter was very easy to get out , the old contacts were GONE one side was almost not there anymore

  17. I ended up selling his truck it worked great for me but needed something bigger, got a 98 3500 mason dump and the driveway looks much better now with the MOPAR powaaa
  18. So I got that in two days ago its great HUGE and carried the business cards real nice but the console have to be slammed or pressed on to close I guess its too thick but I can live with that

Here we go again :spend: I did this http://dodgeram.org/tech/repair/elect/inst_panel_check.htm and nothing came up the oil pressure and check gauge lights keeps coming on and off all day and the fuel gauge keeps going up and down as well as the fuel light And its related to how smooth I drive ? it seems like its somewhat related to hitting potholes etc on the road unless I am just going nuts
  21. I didnt update this in a while I ended up buying the noise filters I put one only on the alternator and the problem never came again that noise filter was well worth the money I have a spare one just in case down the road they dont have them anymore
  22. Well the halfway mark is 180 so I would think I am at 190-200 at most I am guess I am within the range, I wanna flush the system and change the coolant before this plowing season anyway and the rad does have some Gunk on the back side I Will power wash it off once the rain stops outside
