  1. Local auto zone stocks them for $149 and a life time warranty I think thats the easier safer way to go since I gotta pull it off the truck either way.
  2. when all it does is click click ? and when I get under the truck and hit it with a wrench while someone cranck it it would spin and start the truck ? last night my starter took a crap yet more :spend: to throw at the truck

  8. Everything is good with my alternator it checked out good at a shop that rebuilds them all day long.What grounds we talking about here ? grounds in general ?

Little update I took the truck in to the local trans shop ( they rebuild my trans last year ) we drove it with a scanner on it live and the TPS sensor was all over the place at almost steady throttle pedal at 1330 rpm the tps was between 64% - 95% open and that causes the tq converter to go on and off like crazy I am buying a filter or what some people call the sponge I think that should be my best solution

  12. Here we go again :spend: Today the truck did that clutch kick again I pulled in a parking lot right away and cycled the key three times I got a p0237 again but this time along with a p0500 Which one is tripping the other ? speed sensor or the map
  13. I did have a bad switch replaced it with one form auto zone for $10 it was very simple to take out and replace once that panel was off
  14. yea going out to the garage in a bit to lay down upside down under the dash ( my favorite spot to work on my truck anyway )

  16. the brake lights on the back of the truck stays on its like I am pressing the brakes while I am outside the truck 3 of my neighbors came knocked my door yesterday to let me know I forgot my lights on
  17. yea I heard that 99-00 were the best two years to buy a 7.3l it was hard to find one for sale all were 6.0 and you know how that goes lol
  18. I got hooked on Diesel after I first purchased my dodge back in 06 got my 93 benz with the 2.5l TD in 08 and now the ford stroker :thumbup2:Diesel for life
  19. a stroker this time 2000 7.3L auto trans reg cab long bed 4x4 with a meyer plow 150k runs strong love the stroker but no where close to the cummins rumble I could not find a second dodge in my price range that was not beat to death the ford was very clean and well kept for a great price picture will come soon next to the Dodge

  21. I had it with my dodge from one thing to another Where is our brake light switch ? is it at the pedal like most other trucks ? and else where ? and if some where else where and how easy to switch one out ?

Today I found out I have a smaller than usual tank I looked at a 2500 5.9l gasser for a second plow truck and it had a tank almost double the size of mine I had both trucks stand side by side and I crawled under the gasser to check for rust etc and I was shocked of the tank size :stuned:wish I had a bigger tank
  23. I get between 420 and 460 to a full tank before the light comes on
  24. that sounds better now I can go buy come antifreeze for next weekend's project, this will be my first time changing antifreeze in a diesel which means long wait till coolant bubbles out etc. I use a easy fill funnel that just hooks to the radiator cap and you let the car run till antifreeze blows out all air while bubbling wonder how long I have to wait on the truck next weekend
