A/C Problem
Update! Compressor went out:mad:. Took it off and it seems that there was no oil within the pump. Haynes manual says to pour oil out of old one and pour into new. When i did this, , nothing there. Thanks y'all for your feedback. check that oil in the compressor, i got hit with .

Revised Response! No codes. Checked the alternator using the Haynes manual method for testing. Alternator seems to be fine. I read the thread posted from rooster (TC lock/unlock issues) and followed the video you posted. My DVM was measuring 13.97VDC and 30 VAC. It appears that the score is tied. I guess the bench test is going to determine the winner. . I will keep ya'll posted.

Thanks for the response. I am getting the occasional dead pedal above 50 mph. I did a boost leak pressure test, which the results were negative on any leaks. Fuel pressure is about 12-15 psi WOT, with no drop in fuel pressure when i get the dead pedal. I hook up a scanner and get no codes. Anybody ever have issues with calibration screws or spring of the APPS assembly?- A/C Problem
My issue started about a month ago. Up until last month i was able to Idle the truck with the A/C on with no problems of humidity within the cab. I am having the issue of not being able to cool the cab. The A/C clutch is working because i hear that thing engaging a block away:lol:. I start to drive the truck around and A/C comes back and starts pushing cold air again. Has anybody had this problem?- Bi-weekly reset of Timbo Apps
- I like smog. But first I have to smog it.
i am due for the test this week. a couple years ago tech told me that they only make sure you haven't tampered with stock system. this is why i don't do mods. oh yeah and thats how they justify the registration charge by taxing you on how you pollute the air. there is no way to smog diesels, due to not having catlytic converters.- Boost leak!
When you first tested booster, was there a loud shrieking sound? Is this normal? Is this the wastegate actuator?- Noise from front end.
Well, it took the boots that come from the tubo off to inspect for cracks or pinholes. No dice. I noticed oil within the boots. Is this normal? I reassembled and cranked it up. Noise was gone.. I will check back in tomorrow.- Turbo Noise

i have determined that stock pump was not the culprit. New pump same result, same loud noise. Well at least i know that pump that i removed is okay for future use. fuel pressure is still fluctuating throughout the day. i narrowed down the noise to where the AC compressor location is. anybody ever have a noise issue within that area?- Anybody out there?
Alumni from STATE - Go Aggies!- Noise from front end.
Update! so i am able to increase my speed over 70mph. I replaced the fuel filter and therefore the stock pump does not to work as hard. I noticed that on the highway that at 70 mph i was doing okay at 12 psi for about 15-20 miles and then when i looked at the fpg, the needle hade dropped to 7 psi:shrug:. any thoughts? My pressure is still fluctuating as the day goes by. In the morning i get 15 psi at idle and the lift pump is really loud, at WOT i get 13psi. I get a 2 psi drop at noon when i go to lunch, therfore i idle at 13 psi with lift pump really loud, at WOT i get 10-11 psi. When it is time to go home, at about 6 and truck has been sitting in the sun, i get 9 psi at idle with lift pump really loud, i try not to operate the truck at WOT, but as soon as i get halfway home i notice that the fpg starts to climb, eventually getting back to 12 psi. I am going to switch out stock pump this weekend.- oil pressure sensor
The stock sensor never produced these results. As long as it is a normal occurance across the board, i guess i will file it as normal operation.- oil pressure sensor
don't quite know the size:shrug:, but i know the fitting that is used to remove a bathroom shower valve stem will work. After i replaced mine, everytime i accelerate the needle on my gage panel moves toward the right. It never happend with the stock. Any ideas?- Turbo Noise

Has anybody ever heard of the boost whistle? I was driving up a hill, i pushed on the accelerator and out comes this sound like :whistle:happen to anybody else?- Noise from front end.
only getting one p-done when i do the key trick. i have an obd-ll(inova), so hooked up the code reader and retrieved no codes. I decided to test the ECM by simulating an APPS failure and disconnected the APPS wiring harness. When i diconnected the apps, i did the key trick and did get the p1693 and p0122. i hooked it back in and erased the p0122. The CEL turned off for a split second and turned back on. I guess ECM did a check and found that there was still a problem with the APPS. I turned the key off, reconnected the APPS wiring harness, turned the key on, and erased the P0122 with code reader. Does the p1693 code automatically erase? i thought this code went away once i erased p0122 code. I did it while in park. i then took it on highway, as soon as i got to a steady 70, it quickly stalled, pressure dropped to 8psi, then jumped back up to 12 psi. scratching my head here. This morning i turned key on to activate pump, pressure was at 15 psi. When i started the truck, pressure went down to 14 psi. drove to work monitoring pressure. At take-off, pressure would drop to 12 psi and stay there while i was driving. The gage would be 14 psi at idle. I am scratching my head wondering why the pressure is fluctuating so much on a daily basis. if you read above psi was initially at 10 psi idle and now its at 12 psi. I am going to check tank. I need to replace fuel sending unit anyhow, due to the truck shutting down at 1/4 of a tank and eliminate that as a possible issue. thanks ya'll for your input and i'll keep ya'll updated. - Bi-weekly reset of Timbo Apps
