Especially finally getting a break over here on the East coast during Hurricane Joaquin. Have been in flight for storm rescue. US Coast Guard SARS. Ok here is goes, The truck has been acting up some. Truck will start and run fine then out of the blue will not want to start. But after a 15-20 min wait it will start. The tach will not move. I replaced the Crankshaft postition sensor a year or so ago. Funny thing is it comes and it goes. It will not do it for months and will give me no problems. Thanks, John- Vacuum pump - Rebuild time!

Yes, I do. Have a fuel gauge. I was just getting a click. I put a heavy duty battery charger on it and peened the gauge on it. Then I knocked on starter with dead blow hammer. It clicked one. I tried again and it started. I started it several times, since I have been home from work. And it has started every time. I will have to see how it reacts in the morning.- Air Dog 100?
OK. Great. I will have to watch it closely. Have to look into non starting issue.- Air Dog 100?
Hello, Been A while since being on. Busy working! I Bumped my truck over and didn't hear my fuel pump run. Shouldn't it run every time you key the starter? The fuse was good on the air dog. I tested and had voltage on both sides the truck off. it when trouble shooting my truck that didn;t want to start at work today. Think I have a starter issue as well. Thanks for any info. Also been having very cold temps and snow. JOHN- Air Dog 100?

Thanks Gents, I went over to our bus garage today at work and acquired 6 new connector tube O-rings. I will be doing the work on Friday after work. The Public school system I work for has 24valves in the buses. So I have access to stuff. I give her hell on Friday. I thank you all for you input. John- New problem #1 injector leaking
Hello all, I believe I have a bad connector ring O-ring on injector #1. I can see it weeping. I loosened the fuel line and tried to see if seated correctly, that looked to be good. That is why I'm suspecting the bad o-ring. Seems like a easy fix. Do I really need that tool from Snap-on to pull tube out? Also if anybody has part number for them, from Cummins or the dealership. I would appreciate the info.Thanks,John- Well MY VP44 died today
- Well MY VP44 died today
Well got it running today, All in all not a bad job. It help having the right tools. " Especially the info here". Got it all buttoned up. and didn't have enough umph from the batteries. Not running for a week or so. Put a fast charge on them, then gave it another shot and it fired right off. Took for a spin. Ran great. Oh yeah the ball bearing on the overflow valve was rusted. Thanks for all the help guys,John- Can not find A/C leak
In this case nitrogen would be your friend. If you system is empty, charged some in and you can leak test. Most likely the leak is on the bottom. where leaves and debris gets in. Leaves can be acidic as well as pine needles too. use soap bubbles or a electronic leak detector. Where ever there is any refrigerant oil is the leak won't be far away.- Fuel prices going up again
