That is why, I like Nitrogen and soap bubbles. Also nitrogen can be used to sweep out a system of junk, when the lines are disconnected.

Snow Plows and plowing, in general: Discussions
Hello. Sorry, I don't have any pics. I'll try to get some. I'm currently cleaning up the plow and getting ready to repaint and install wings. They do help as stated. They help, as we know how heavy or engines are. With the plows on the trucks. Other wise they work good and worth the money.

I like to leak test with nitrogen, and you could mix some referigerant with it too. And then do leak test electronically or with bubbles. I like the dye, but it can be blown around with the oil. Then you put black light on it and its all over.

I've been running my Glow shift Fuel gauge for almost 2 years now and no problems what so ever. Make sure you use a snubber or needle valve set up as Mike often speaks about to control the pulsations to the gauge not to kill it. Glowshift buisness is actually about 30 mins from me.Good Luck,John

cheap air compressors
Nice set up on compressors for air ride. I have been using two Viair 450c's for almost 6 years and no problems what so ever. I use them for my train horns and on board air with. I had them on my old truck with two 5 gallon slim tanks. But on my 98.5 it was very hard for me to shoe horn in one five gallon tank but I made it happen. How ever I did make a cheap compressor set up using the knock off Viair compressors Harbor freight sells for my buddies tow truck. made some changes to the plumbing. It was installed in a tool box. It worked for him. But for heavy use I would get a good compressor. Or you could make your own Oasis style compressor with a York compressor and starter motor coupled together. Good Luck. Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
Hello all, Sorry I haven't been on here lately. I had another heart complication since my last post. but all is well. My airdog has been really great. I did notice a drop in fuel pressure lately. I'm thinking of cold weather and winter blend fuel. But Probably need to change air dog filter since i have been running since September. My snubber/needle valve set up like Mike has posted about works great too. My glow shift gauge hasn't given me any problems whats so ever. The air dog didn't let me down while plowing snow during major blizzards we had back to back in NJ. So all in all I'm happy with performance. Only a few times have I ever had it go a scoche' past 15 psi at WOT.John

No cruise control with new clock spring installed
No, They never did work thats why I changed the clock spring. I must of had the wheel in a certain position intermittently and the cruised worked when the old clock spring was in. I replaced with new one and nothing worked. I went back and checked all of the connections. And another thing to mention I need new back brakes could that be a cause? Also when driving I tried pulling up on the brake pedal and nothing there either. Do I need to rest any codes in the computer? I have a Snap On Modis I can use. If not what else can I look for? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,John

No cruise control with new clock spring installed
Hello all, I replaced the clock spring yesterday. And no cruise control with new one installed. On the old clock spring I would get it once in a while. But after install I took for a spin and nothing. No light in dash. Do I need to go in with my Snap On Modus and clear any codes due to disconnecting the air bag? Is didn't find any fuse. Or maybe I over looked it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,John

Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
Well, I finally finished the Air Dog install. At my buddies shop. I now have 18 psi of fuel pressure at Idle. It was a long day. And thanks to my wife especially for being patient. It was our 10th anniversary yesterday when I finally got finished. her parents were there to watch the kids. So we could salvage the rest of the day and to go out and have a nice dinner. It was also nice to have a good report from my heart doctor too. At the end of July. I had a heart attack and I just turned 38. So it all was a good ending to a long day of angst and excitement. Sorry for being long winded. I will post pics asap. Thanks, John

Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
Well, Yesterday I got the air dog mounted with the new bracket. that went well. Easy. I went to start the fuel line installs and noticed I need two more JIC 90*s because i had the original on the frame set up when I bought the air dog 100. I need a to get either 2 -8 Swivel 1/2" push log 90* or 2 -8 swivel x -8 JIC forged 90* Then I should be good to go. Couldn't get parts because of the holiday weekend. I might hit up a local hydraulic shop.John

Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
Thanks. For the replies. What I meant by the big line kit to answer the other gentle mans post. The big line kit is a short piece of 1/2" fuel line and the tapped elbow jig fitting and another 90 jig fitting to go from cannister to VP-44. Mike did you make you 90* mounting plate for you air dog or was that from the from the company. Because I would like to mount in near the transfer case like yours. Thanks again,John

Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
Hello, I am about to install a Air dog 100. I have purchased a big line kit from vulcan performance with the tapped elbow. So I can run a a needle valve and connect a grease gun line to it then to the electric fuel sender. I know alot of people by pass the filter heater cannister. How do you think it will perform. I know there will be another filter in the mix. I read a post on another site on a install like that. In the post the user cut the filter and used the o ring from the top of the filter. Any opinoins will be appreciated. Thanks,John

Want to add factory driving/fog light to my truck
Guys, Thanks for the replies. I'm aware of needing the headlight switch and relay and actual lights. I have seen them in the LMC Catalog. But wasn't sure if they would work. When My Dad ordered his Dodges all top of the line SLT Laramie the one year I believe it was his 2000 his had the same set up and no lights either. I thouhgt maybe because of a bigger coolers up front for camper/towing package. I also was the understanding that it came in the lighting package I have running lights. Any was i might give it a try if not I'll have to go with another method. Plain and simple the lighting blows on these trucks. Thanks,John

Want to add factory driving/fog light to my truck
Hello, I have a 98.5 quad cab LB 4x4 with the camper/towing package. It didn't come with the lights. I found the wires up underneath the bumper for them. Did they not put on from factory because of the tow package? And if possible can they be installed. I like the the ones on your truck Mopar Man but in my state they would give me trouble at inspection. Thanks,John
