I did that on my 97. 4 layers of glass mat. Worked great but the 01 was way beyond that when I got it.

Ok i didn't realize that. Thought they left out the vent screws. Is it made out of better plastic that the original?

Replacement dash
I've read the reviews. I have already replaced heater core and evap. At the time didn't have the cash for the dash. I like the idea of fiberglass but also leary of fitment. I'll be painting it or doing a padded dash top and that will hide a lot. Was considering using marine grade vinyl or something like that. Also wanting to build in gauge mounts for 4 gauges over instrument cluster. I think fiberglass would be easier to work with than plastic. Do the ones from LMC or Genos have the screws that hold the ductwork to the dash?

Replacement dash
Its time for dash repair on my rust bucket. 2001 2500. LMC, Genos, Ebay, or Amazon? Whos fits best? Best made? Don't really care about color because I'll paint it. I'm really looking at the fiberglass one from Amazon. Some say fits good, others not so good but glass seems better than plastic to me. Don't know how to add a link so pic will have to do. Thanks for any advice you can give. Happy New Year everyone.

Buying a Quad soon
Guess I got lucky which is good. I don't have the patience for that kind of crap. I installed an app that launches the Quad app when the Fire tablet powers up or the charger gets plugged in. Hooks up every time first try.

Have you tried a different bt module? Maybe your has issues.

Keyless entry/remote start install
I did one on my 97 gasser. Search online and you can find limited info. The12volt.com has good relay schematics for door locks. Get a factory wiring diagram and triple check everything before cutting or splicing.

Buying a Quad soon
Other than me being an idiot and having problems the first time i haven't had any problems connecting, even when it was under the hood. I just don't like things like that under hood. If i leave the quad app open it either connects when i unlock the tablet or as soon as i close and reopen the app 1 time. I wonder if some of your connecting problems are caused by your device and not the Quad.

I was seeing mounts for $50-$60. I hate spending money i don't need to spend. Total for this was $12-$13

Tablet mount
I couldn't find a way to mount my tablet that i liked so i made one. Got a tablet mount from Wal-Mart online for about $9 that is for bike handlebars. 2 1/2" conduit clamps, about a foot of gray electric conduit and a 90° elbow. I didn't glue the elbow so it will rotate and can be easily removed. My center seat is a sub box & I screwed it to the front edge. Works great, really stable. Also works good for a phone holder.

For those that don't care for the Bluetooth module being under the hood this was my fix. Made an extension cable with a connector from EBay and some flat 4 trailer wiring. Now its inside going to be stuck down with Velcro. I put the male connector on the wire then fed the other end through the firewall before installing the female end. All my added wiring goes through the plug for the clutch master cylinder.

Speedometer
I found out the Snap-On Ethos Pro scanner will program tire size on the 2nd gens. Really simple to do took me less than 5 minutes. Best of all it was free. Buddy let me borrow his scanner. Now to find out what else it will do on this truck.

Speedometer
I've used all the Mopar dealers around here through my work and don't trust any of them to touch my cars. I had a buddy that worked for one of them but he moved to Florida a few years ago. We are trying to get our shop set up as a fleet service center but its going to be awhile before that happens. Even then i don't know what scanner we'll have and how far back it will go. I don't want to buy a Smarty just to do this.

What are my options on reprogramming my speedometer? I know Smarty s03 and drbiii but what else will do it? The cheaper the better.

Buying a Quad soon
I'm not really expecting to see anything really impressive right now. Its cold and i let it run on high idle 5-10 minutes every morning. Doing this before i was seeing 12.5-12.75 mpg. This is a little off because the speedometer/odometer is slightly off. Its slow. Shows 70 on dash and 74 on gps. Need to get that fixed one day.
