  1. Fortunately for me not into the radiator, but it will come apart and ruin your day from time to time. I swapped my fan clutch out, I failed to recheck the small bolts on the pulley, the wrench set up I have holds around the small bolts on the pulley, so when I knocked the old one off they loosened, I just spun off the old fan and clutch, put the new one on and was down the road about 20miles got to work, was squeaking a bit figured it was the bearing as I used the old fan hub, I had a spare bearing figured it would be fine, I went to lunch got maybe 3 blocks from my shop and heard all sorts of issues and smoke, the pulley bolts had finally worked themselves loose all fell out and it threw the belt. I actually took a video of it prior to it failing as my truck had never made any noises up to then. Should have rechecked my work at the shop real quick, was certain was the hub bearing. Needless to say did not end well, but was an easy fix at the same time, needed a tow back to my work fixed it in the parking lot after I got a new belt and some loctite and paint marker. Pre throwing belt Threw belt Check and locktite pulley bolts, and paint mark. Post repair. For my '96 I went with the following. Replaced the hub after incase I damaged it. FB1002 FAN HUB ASSEMBLY - GATES ('94-'02) 52028760 FAN CLUTCH - MOPAR ('91.5-'98, 12V)
  2. I just picked up an enclosed trailer 7x14, when I was there the place rents trailers, not like a uhaul its a just a real trailer place. Maybe there is a place local to you that does that. www.Traileroutlet.com which is no where near VA but you can see what kind of place im talking about. http://www.traileroutlet.com/trailer-services/trailer-rentals/

Transmaxx Transtar Interior Stuff https://www.stockinteriors.com/ Hose Kits https://www.mrbobsdistributing.com/ Exactly what it says https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Default.asp Battery Cables https://www.custombatterycables.com/ Used Parts http://www.car-part.com/mobile/index.htm That is a part locator service for local yards. Very useful site. Everything (but higher prices low shipping) good quality https://www.mcmaster.com/
  4. The larger cable on your pic appears to be coming out the side not the back. So I think the bottom pic you posted with the all flat module is what you would need.
  5. All my local places on that service are quality yards, I dont see any local places on my lists that I would not deal with. We ship all sorts of stuff for my business, its really up to the shipper not the yard. Get a bad driver you get extra damage, get a good driver you get same level of damage as was loaded. Ask for some extra pics and exactly what is included. Im not sure but I remember folks saying the 1500s are good cabs for 2500/3500.
  6. If I was in that position I would change the cab. They are cheaper then the hassle. http://www.car-part.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?userSearch=int&userPID=1000&userLocation=All+States&userIMS=&userInterchange=%3F%3D%3FB&userSide=&userDate=1999&userDate2=1999&dbModel=22.31.11.11&userModel=Dodge Truck-2500 Series (1994 Up)&dbPart=154.1&userPart=Cab&sessionID=11000000095789452&ref=mobileweb&userPreference=grade&userZip=24382&userLat=36.9511000&userLong=-81.1120000&userIntSelect=694795&userUID=0&userBroker=&userPage=1&iKey=

  8. No problem at all, glad to put a little leg work in, it was late and I ran across your post on another build, it was quite the story and project, I read the whole thing start to finish was intresting for sure, Inwas hooked. I have a 48 willys pickup since HS, its on the maybe one day list. But as you say life gets complicated. Nothing bad in my case all good things, have a 21mo old, one on the way, do some volunteer stuff for some different folks. Best of luck with your project. Will keep checking in for sure.
  9. @Dodge48 I looked up that name on the truck and after doing some digging I think Hayden Printing in Ardmore, PA could point you to some info on that cabover. Can't hurt.

  12. Are there time limits on copyright? I alwasy find some folks miss use the whole copyright thing and try to just say its copywright protected when alot of times its not. Doubt that in this case. Guess Im already in violation by posting this from the book.
