ok just got done installing a set from dap also adjusted the valves to a tight 10 and 20 and changed my oil and filter amsoil by the way truck feels real nice as far as the install went i got a lot of help from the forum and it really helped me out. the videos and all were great everything went very smooth the only other advise i would give anyone doing this job is to remove the hood latch man my belly is killing me with all that climbing up on top of that latch to reach the back of this giant motor:smart:

ok before i break this how does the crankcase vent {the big plastic piece not the hose] come off just twist it which way ? i want to extend the tube after i finish the injectors and adjust the valves also 8- 18 or 10- 20 on the valves?

I drive my pickup in this wonderful new york state to and from work and than I get into a bigger truck and drive all day talk about aggressive drivers I dont think any state can compare to NY with all the illegals and such I just kinda give them the option of moving or being moved I used to try the nice approach but that went out the window years back hell I would probably still be on the ramp waiting for someone to let me in.

hey mike what info you got on the scan gauges?

its never gonna end i have the rv275s from dap good rep and fast shipping gonna install this weekend and im already looking for whats next maybe a scan gauge or some fog lights for the bull bar oh maybe ill wait fathers day is coming up:drool:

whats the best filter for my truck i use amsoil how are there filters i have a fleetgaurd on there now any suggestions:thumbup2:

waiting patiently for my shipment from dap also went with bosch rv275s by the way is there a need to change the orings on the feed tubes? he said he would throw some o rings in. also you did not remove all the injector lines and pull all the tubes out?

thanks guys for the quick reply guess i knocked a vaccum hose off when i went for the top bolt on the starter all is well now.

put on the ac blows cold but from defrost its stuck up on the defrost any thouths before i start chasing this around i figure its a vacum hose or something not flipping the doors were they need to be but thats why i love this site maybe someone can save me some time and headaches.

Ok I had this problem before as many cummins owners had were the tc was locking and unlocking. I researched the forums and did the apps reset and aluminum foiled the alt. wires and cleaned all connections I could find well this lasted about 6 months and 7000 miles and now its back. gonna check in to the connections in the morning and see what happens. on 1 of the forums im reading about a 1 wire alternator replacement any ideas for a easier fix? how about these noise suppresors any input if they work or not? you sure its the tensioner I was getting ready to chang mine and I changed the belt just to see before I bought the new tensioner and it was like magic no noise. just asking as I was sure mine was no good good luck.

nice pulls im looking at those contagious injectors what size ar those 100?

warming up its time to do new injectors been tossed up between 100 s and rv 275s think im settled on the rv 275s been researching all the forums and my trucks fast enough i think so i just want the mpgs should i change cross over tubes while im in there gonna do valves adjustment also still only getting around 14-16 around town gonna max out tire pressure and empty the bed out see if i cant get the mpgs up a little thinking dap or listening for ideas?

Im looking into a scan gauge its time with the price of fuel a friend has one and said it really helped out by letting him know how to drive with the right foot any thoughts on which one a nd were to buy from?
