Cost to have injectors installed?
www.dieselautopower.com will treat you best & they are flow matched with high pressure fluid, instead of low pressure air. Ed

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
I have to organize my favorites & when I find the 2nd lockup, I will post it, or ME ##### has it & might post it. Ed

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
In the future, there may be much better control over the whole 3rd gear & up on our transmissions. O am working on it. Ed

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
Yup, it is for keeping the TC locked up once locked. Some use it for racing purposes, but trans mods are needed. Ed

Another fuel pump question
THe pressure issue could be the seal on the Fornicating Rump Raping Pump going bad & leaking fuel into the motor. Check where the wires enter the grommet for diesel. If found, Call in for warranty & don't accept NO for an answer. If they give you a hard time, ask for Jason & mention my screenname & full name. Ed Grafton

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
If you get a trans code, look up "47re lock up switch resistor " & put the relay back, add the resistor from the switch to ground. There is a break year. Might be the 00-01 break. As for timing, on my Quad, I can introduce loads of timing real quick with the custom tuning. That is why I stated that 2 identical trucks with 1 thing different can change the cylinder pressure. Ed

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
Cylinder pressure is a relationship between static compression, injection timing, boost, quality of intake/exhause flow & fuel. They all interreact to produce cylinder pressure. Someone can run the exact same setup, load, RPM & have 1 thing different & there you have your difference in CP. Ed

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
Michael has been doing it for years. His is still the same gasket. To me, so long as you do regular coolant changes, T-stat too, keep your cylinder pressure down, you should never have a head gasket issue, no matter what (Within limits) RPM you run. Ed

On that diagram (Depending on the year) you may want to leave the relay in place & add a resistor inline from the switch to ground. I know my 01 needs it that way & with the switch off, it works perfectly fine. Of course, yours being a 99, it may work as written up. When I tried it that way, I got a code. Ed

Cutting in a fuel filter
Racor bowls are made of Lexan. You can also (For some models) get a SS cover plate. Ed

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
Those are completely different engines with quite a bit more rotating mass. You can do the TC lockup switch in about an hour. It'll keep the TC engaged manually. Ed

P0216 error
Even if you are low on cash at the moment, a NEW stock replacement is better than a worn stocker. Best to get a good aftermarket fuel system. Also, check your fuel filter. Then, next step is a FP gauge. Then, BHAF, tuner, injectors, turbo, twind, supercharger with 2 turbos feeding it, Nitrous, Propane....... Next step is a GE turbine in the bed.... Ed

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
If you were towing a heavy load, it would act somewhat differently, by my understanding. You can try adjusting the TV cable, but the OD & TCLU solenoids are electronicly controlled & I am not sure the effect that would be encountered. Ed

bigger turbo?
As stated earlier, 100 HP over stock injectors & a Super B or HE351CW turbo should do fine. Our injectors are kinda small for our setup, as is. www.dieselautopower.com has combo kits for good deals. You will lose a tad of MPGs, but gain the performance you desire. Ed
-
bigger turbo?
If that's what you want, a Super B & 75-100 injectors will get you there, at the expense of some MPGs. Ed

I surely didn't mean any form of insult at all. It's just where my brain went. Peace, Ed

More on turbo whistle
I know, but every time I saw the title, my ADD would bring me there & I just had to let it out before it consumed all of my thought processes.... For a blonde like me, that doesn't take much. Ed

Injectors = Higher MPG?
The HO pump already advances the timing somewhat, try to keep the Smarty timing lower than an equivelant SO truck would use. Ed
