High Idle Kit Is Here
Honestly, I only wanted 5 testers, but a perfect 6th came along. It's people I have dealt with & feel also have the time & drive to fulfil all of my thorough testing. Heck, it might be 5 if I can't convince an ungrateful company to make something right. Ed

Fuel Gelled
He got his fuel at a Shll station, which many of are now independent. Could be no additive at all. That's why I suggested to use a Truck Stop to top off. He was still having problems this afternoon. Ed

Honestly, I am up to 6 different beta testers. All of that comes out of pocket. With my selections, I run through all types of trucks & will start ordering parts next week. I need to gather the screennames for the testers & get them all in line. All involved will be testing the "Holy Grail" of VP44 trucks. I do thank you for your offer, but I can only really feild what I already have. We will definitely keep you in mind for future projects. Thank you, Ed

We all know I fully intend to build the ultimate fuel systems hopefully for ALL diesel trucks, mild to friggin' stoopid HP levels. This is new. Michael & I figured out something huge. There will be full beta testing, then retail release, of course through www.dieselautopower.com in about 6 weeks with full documentation. Project Secret Squirrel.... Yeah, we're nutz... Ed

Odd No Start, No Turning Over, No Codes....
When tightening any large insulated starter or solenoid stud, commo practice is to use 2 wrenches (Sometimes a thin ground down one) so that you hold the exterior nut that is holding the stud in place & torque the "Wire lug" nut against it. Common problem for people who have not been taught about it. I only learned after working at an auto electric shop rebuilding starters & alternators. I was just plain darn lucky on the 10 or so I had replaced previously. Find that cheap Chinese rusty bought at a yardsale for $.10 open end wrench & tale it to the grinder till it's the same thickness as the retainer nut & will not interfere with the luf + a tad more. Tfaro, I would love a full set of pictures of every detail. I know it will be a pain, but, I will compensate you for your time for a detailed writeup on it with pics. I have the column mount & will add the insert & glue part. My truck just has no dash & looks like crap. Mopar1973man will give you article space privelages. I would like to see the co;umn pod removed & how you ran the wires, what power source you used & all the way to the ECT/IAT onnections. As said, I will compensate you for your time for a detailed full install article, or give you a manufacturer's discount on a future product, which there are 2 of at the moment. That could change in a week. Thank you, Ed.

Nasty Vehicle Accident
Heh heh.... He dumped logs..... On a serious note, I hope the driver made it out alive & what did the truck have for am engine & trans? Ed

Grid Heater Short
If the relay was not energized, & no shorts in the wiring, it has to be the stud. Is it 1 or both that do it? I would see no problem putting used grids in & you can get them from southerners that think that they are losing massive amounts of airflow to them. Ed

You also need a boost elbow for the HX35, so that you can up the boost. Keep tinkering away with it. Kinda like having your first Smart Phone... You'll figger it out... Ed

It will be "Hip to be Square" Nick, could you take some pics of your cable routing under dash & under hood for Michael to put into a folder? Also, anyone who has installed the unit, we would like pics of your finished install & how you routed your wires, so that we can compile it all for a "Real instruction" file. Thank you all for your continued support. Ed

If you want to do your own custom shaped plate, I suggest the cubby, as it is shaped like my avatar. It is larger. If doing a custom lower center console, you cut it as desired. To give you an idea, the black center part is 2.125" round. Ed

High Idle Overhead Switch Install Writeup
On Monday, I will talk with Jacob at DAP to decide how to proceed. Stickers are pricier & more wire, so there will probably be a fair inrease in price. Not to mention alot of R&D time... Ed

Abenin, when you look at thr Cubby unit, the circle on it is the same as the cutline for the gaugepod unit. It just has a 1" piece of 2" OD Lexan tubing plastic welded to the back for a friction fit to a gauge pod & uses a few drops of superglue (Supplied with alcohol wipe for prep. I made it the same 2.125" as anu other gauge. Ed

Quadzilla Adrenaline Hardware Thread Fixes, Tips, Tricks
PV is night & day. I did many box upgrades with my dual core 64 bit laptop. Just ran it in compatibility mode. PV IMHO MUST be done on a single core 32 bit XP puter. Not sure how the live distros would work for it, but I wouldn't try a PV on it. Find an old clunker at the thrift shop & pat $15 for the peace of mind.... Ed
