  1. Not yet... I need to do research, testing & then manufacturing.... It will be the best fuel system you will ever see feeding a VP44. And, like the high idle switch I produced, all parts made in the USA, no junk & quality will be my priority. Do you really think that your AD 165 truly can flow 165 GPH? MAYBE if you remove the filter & let it drain right out. The filter is not at all capable of that flow at the pressures we need. I will not sell on hype. I will sell on quality flow/pressure/filtration & water separation. Ed
  2. I just have never noticed a change in temperature ar a red light. If you let the truck just idle for a while, sure the temp will go down. But, you could also select 6 Cyl high idle for that situation Hint hint... Ed
  3. It may be in that range, but not be failure prone. It will start with the Liberty module, 10 Mic ABSOLUTE centrifugal filtering/aquablock/water seperation, WIF & heater in the 1st filter, pump, then 3 Micron ABSOLUTE filtering with aquablock, all hoses, harnesses & fittings. Also, it will have a true rating, not one that states a flow that the filters could never handle. Yes, it will be pricey, but premium. You will not be getting towed home because of cutting corners You won't be replacing the pump every 6 months to a year & hurting the VP each time. It will be desireable to some & not to others. It will be speced out to truly handle any HP rating that a stock VP44 pump can handle. Ed
  4. Sitting still, yes. At a red light, no. Ed
  5. Soon, there will be a better option. A few months & you will see how pumps & filtration should be done. No Chinese junk & Industry standard parts. Ed
  6. If you lose heat at a stoplight, I would agree with the thermostat. If you want to heat the truck up quicker, you can always get a high idle switch... Hint hint. http://www.dieselautopower.com/product-p/high-idle-switch-98-02-cubby.htm Ed
  7. I sent in my warranty card. When mine was leaking everywhere, they told me it was registered to someone named Brian. I had to all Thoroughbred & have them Email the recipt. Took a week to get my replaement & it has wildly varying pressures. They cannot & will not send out noties if the database is all wrong. Such a joke.... Ed
  8. You may try adjusting the TV cable for fine tuning. Ed
  9. Worst case scenario, let me have your address & I will send some more, or you can spend about 50 cents at the local hardware store for "5/16" heavy wall" nylon tubing. I am glad you are happy & warm, Ed
  10. If anyone has any issues with their High Idle units, please contact me directly. I has a soldering iron going bad & believe I have all 5 replaced from that session. I personally warranty all parts & workmanship for 1 year. All I have to do to qualify your warranty is I call DAP to confirm your purchase & I will send a new unit. No cards, no hassle. I want everyone to be satisfied with this product. Also, I would love to see some testimonials & pictures of your installs & how you like it. THank you all for your patience, Ed
  11. I used the lowest consumption LED I could find. 10 milliamps. That is .001 amps. It would take a couple months for it to even be noticable. Ed
  12. Abennin, I am the person who produced these units. I personally am missing 1/2 of my dashboard & had no way to gauge the legnth of the spacers. How long were yours for a final right fit? I am guessing around 1/2-9/16". I put 3" of the tubing in there to cover any screwups. I am glad you are happy with the unit. There is a small batch with ECT issues. If anyone has a code thrown, please message me & I will replace your unit as fast as the post office moves. I had a failing soldering iron. 3 have surfaced & I am expectong 2 more from that session. Thank you all for your patience, Ed
  13. I should get the faceplates shortly & be able to have a pic. I do have the oversized faceplate, but it is way off & looks stupid. Once the right part is in my hand, I will post pictures & overnight a unit to Mopar1973man to show an install. All orders will be handled through DAP.Thank you,Ed
  14. I am still waiting on the artwork to be finished. Emailed to the engraver & then I should have plates the next couple days. I have all of the harnesses & switches ready to go.I screwes up when I scanned what I wanted & it cot through 3 sets of conversions & computers. It turned out 12.3% too large. As for using a potentiometer, 100Kohm will be your only bet. Pretty difficult to get the resolution on the resistance you will need with that, as they only turn 280* & you have to fit 100K ohm in there. That should be 2.8Kohm per degree.Ed
  15. I am doing some of the gauge faces that will be just like a switchplate, I think, as the question has come up several times.Ed
  16. Sarah, I hope your leg gets better so that you can use your beloved truck again. The install will be pretty simple. The indicator light will indicate MG/6 Cyl/3 Cyl are engaged by the switch. Michael (Mopar1973man the originator of the whole concept) will do a video/written install/operation for the unit. I do have to say that I now understand more as to the R&D issues that companies have. It has been long, frustrating & tiring dealing with unscrupulous vendors switching wire out for Chinese aluminum copper clad wire & the like. Every part is made right here in the USA. It's very difficult to do that these days. I have also had to overcome numerous pitfalls by not doing my due dilligence. My next products (There WILL be other products for our trucks from me) will be better planned out & fully structured before announcement. I jumoed the gun a bit. In all reality, after all of the R&D/phone time, I will make about $10 per hour on this batch of 100. I am truly hoping that it takes off & I can raise the profit point from sheer numbers.Oh, Sarah, if you make up the artwork, I can send you my engraver's info for a dash plaque of instructions for your hubby...Got to watch more Shark Tank...Thank you all for your support,Ed Grafton
  17. When left in the 6 cylinder high idle, the ECT fooler resistor is engaged too. That allows you to keep the 6 cylinder feature on indefinitely for better charging & extended times of heat or AC. Mopar1973man designed it that way for when he was responding to fires & accidents to keep the alternator charging good while his lights are on. This feature has been stress tested on a truck with 6X13 injectors & didn't have a problem with overheating at all & EGTs were very safe.Ed
  18. Did you strip the threads in the trans case (aluminum) or the adjuster bolt (steel)? I would expect the aluminum to be buggered, too. Band will be fine. Might have to use one of those thread saver thingies (Blonde moment)Ed
  19. As said, I am sure Michael will chime in with real numbers. We all know his penchant for writing it all down. Winter fronts, warm air intake, optimal tuning & driving for mileage all lead to better mileage with the fooler. If I am wrong, I will gladly retract my statement. But, I figured it at 3MPG recovery at 3500 miles at $4 a gallon & it came out even. As with any mod, your mileage will vary due to different mods & driving styles. Ed - - - Updated - - - OK, I talked to Michael. You all are correct about 1-2 MPG gain with the fooler. Sorry for the false advertising. I musta been thinking about one of his combo threads with those numbers. Might have beem tire/fooler/headwind, if I remember right, now... Again, sorry, Ed
  20. If by spool up, you mean boost readings, do the aforementioned checks & build a boost tester. Check for leaky boots, intake cover gasket, grid heater gaskets, also any carbon traces near the exhaust. Might also want to pull the intake hose & check play in the turbo.Ed
  21. I see it as all of the Pureflow stuff having issues. No real complaints about FASS. I am purely biased. I think their QC has gone way downhill. Ed
  22. Pureflow/Raptor/Airdog quality has gone way downhill. If you go to Cumminsforum, you will see all the failures. It's like buying an Autozone alternator (made in China) with a lifetime replacement warranty. You replace it fior a lifetime. You may get stuck on the side of the road & have to get towed, be down for up to 4 days & possibly hurt the VP44 in the process. Get quotes for an equivelant FASS pump. No real complaints about them. My FRRP was leaking fuel out the wiring (GLAD it's not a gasoline pump!!!!!!!) & I called for my warranty replacement. They told me my SN was registered to a "Brian". I had to call the vendor to email a recipt. 4 days later I get a shiny new pump with wildly fluctuating pressures. I won't even bother with another warranty pup from them at all !!!! A friend has replaces 4 Airdogs along with associated downtime.....Call FASS themselves to find out if they can get you some kind of deal to stay away from Purejunk products.Ed
  23. During the wintertime, you lose mileage. It's due to the ECU getting a cold air reading from the Intake Air Temperature sender & changing the injection timing. People tend to lose 4-6 MPG. Mopar1973man has the stats on that. The MPG fooler tells the ECU it's a nice sunny 85* day out.Ed
  24. Remember that you also get the MPG mode that should save up to 6MPG. I figured that 3500 miles driven at 3 MPG savings on an 18 MPG (Summer) truck will pay for the whole unit.Ed
  25. That would sound about right to me.Ed
