Had all 5 of these codes pop up at once after changing all of my better connections while trying to figure out my electrical issues. I’ve been dealing with a p0121 off and on for 3-4 months, replaced my APPS, dead pedal came back 3 wks later. Coincidentally my trans (auto) started not going into gear in drive or reverse until I rev up to about 1k rpm’s. I did the BD diesel noise isolator and for a few days it drove perfectly with zero shifting issues or dead pedal. Then started having overboost codes and then the truck randomly died twice. Replaced batteries and redid connections and triple checked the connections, and now I have those 5 codes. Thinking ECM going out due to alternator? Thoughts? And how would I test my ecm to find out? -
I have an 01 dually,that I bought from my mother after my dad passed away last year from brain cancer. The truck had sat for about 8 months,and after I had driven it for about 4 months,the lift pump failed on the way home from work,and the truck died and I had to tow it home. I replaced the lift pump,but I still couldnt get it to crank and run, it was getting fuel to all but the #1 cylinder. I checked for trouble code but it didnt display any,because the engine light wasnt on. I bought a lift pump and replaced it. I still cant get it to crank,but I did get some codes this time,they are P-1693,P-1689 @P-0122. Is there something I did wrong or something else wrong with the truck,By the way the truck only has 53,000 miles on it,I'm stumped.

Got an 01 dually,replaced the lift pump, still no crank,tried the code display it displayed the p pcu then p done then p ecu then p done but no code inbetween either. Got a $300.00 code scanner on the recomendation of another tech, showed no code stored because check engine light not on. I am stumped as to the problem with my truck

Trucks been throwing the 1689 code. I started to test the truck to see how often it throws the cel. 1689 every time. It will cut the power for a few seconds EVERY time it hits 2500ish rpms, it only happens at 2500rpm's. why would it be doing it at a specific rpm? I thought for a while it was only doing it under hard acceleration but its cutting out at 2500?????? Any ideas???

Hello. I was wondering if anybody can answer me this one just to satisfy my curiosity. Theres a guy over on CF who's Raptor 100 quit due to dirt in the gears. He got a P0230 which makes sense and also a p1689 code. How can lift pump trouble cause a 1689? The last time I got one the VP was done. What really baffles me is he said once the lift pump was fixed it cleared all the codes. What am I missing?

Well today I had made a stop at the local fast food place for lunch...a mistake I guess. I came out and started the truck and she idled for a couple minutes..gave a shudder and shut down..no re start. Will crank but no start. I replaced the transfer pump w/fass a year ago. Acts like she's not getting fuel. What is in the tank on these? just a fuel gauge and fuel pick up? The transfer pump is running but I am wondering about the "draw straw" that I have heard about. Do they go bad, break off, What should my next step be? Thanks in advance. Randy
