should we start a new thread "education of fuel system?"  I did draw straws and 5/8" fuel line to my prepump filter, pump and than final filter to a regulated return fuel system on the 7.3 I had.  I like to understand what I am doing, but I do want pressures like you guys are seeing, so I am assuming that fuel tank is coming down huh?

Glad you got everything figured out. At least it was an easy fix!

It wouldn't hurt to start another thread with your fuel system questions, but to answer really quick, yes the tank needs to come down or you need to take off the bed, whichever you prefer. Running 1/2in lines with a solid fuel system like FASS, Airdog or GDP and you'll have those numbers.

Better to drop the tank so you can clean out if needed. I raised the bed, had a lot of crud show up in the new primary filter after removing tank screens. Tank screen was clogged somewhat is the reason for removal..
