Needle valve position on fuel pressure line?

Recommended Posts

Thought I would put in needle valve in fuel pressure line, I'm using elec gauge. In the directions, Auto meter (gauge maker) says in couple different places says to use snubber.  I like the idea of needle valve, if nothing else valve can used as shut off valve to that line.   Still going to put in snubber (just to be safe) .    100 DF air dog.   Branching off fuel line about where motor meets trans.

Question...........

The Needle valve, where is best position?   All the way open or slightly open?  Or just play with it a bit to find best position?

Your thoughts please.

Thanks for quick reply!

I can't begin to tell you how handy this site has been to me.  Even though I've own ours since 2005, I really don't know jack about them.  Matter of fact that is why I bought in first place.  Dependable and very little work required.  But now in 2017,  my hood has been up more often.

Don't feel bad... My hood has been open more too but I'm also rolling 750 miles a week and getting ready to cross 311k miles.

Mike lays awake at night figuring ways to get his million miles out of it.:cummins:

Actually the needle valve is just a fall back shut off. Its just nice to be able quickly twist the valve shut. ISSPro EV2 gauges typically do a test sweep so seeing pressure rise is impossible.
