Ok, so yesterday (of all days), I get in the truck after work. Fire it up, glance at the Attitude monitor, see oil pressure readings, and roll out of the parking lot. I get about 500yds down the road when I glance to the monitor to see the screen completely pixeled.. IOW, every LCD pixel was on; the screen was solid black.I pulled over, cycled the ignition, but this time nothing... at all.. only the back illumination and buttons lit up. the screen completely blank. I shut the truck back off, unplugged/replugged the control box, and checked the green connector for the monitor.Still same thing.. illumination and blank screen.I tried touching the power-level arrows on the way home, and it works as normal, you just can't see anything. Got home, shut the truck off, and the turbo timer worked fine. Tapped the brake pedal and got out. An hour or two later, I went out and turned the key on to check the J/A screen.. still blank. This morning, I get in the truck to go to work, BOOM! screen works now.. Well, it did for about 30-45 seconds, then went back to full pixelation..I'm at a loss.

I know this isn't a solution but... All you eggs in one basket problem... :banghead: This is the one reason I will not upgrade to a juice. I'd rather have separate gauges for boost, pyrometer, fuel pressure so the chip dies I just unplug the Edge Comp and keep rolling. In your case unplug the Juice and go blind you now lost your gauges too. Being you got military background you should know to keep a backup plan... As for the solution all I can say is call Edge products and see about getting it sent in for repair. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/mopar1973mans-dealer-contacts/44-manufacture-contacts/26-edge-products

Sorry... Didn't mean it that way.. :ashamed: But AFAIK this is a known issues with Juice modules from the beginning and I've not heard of end user fix for it yet.

yeah.. I know you didn't. not consciously, anyway LOLThe thing that pisses me off most, though, is that Ive had this for over a year. No real issues (aside from the FP gauge not reading properly) with it at all. the DAY I go to trade the truck in, SHAZAM! It quit working..

(Sigh) The common display failure... It seems both Edge and Quadzilla both have the very same issues. The only suggest off the top of my head is check all wiring (disconnect and re-socket again). Slim chance that might fix it. Another thing you might try... I know the module is under the hood and might of leak water within might open the end and check the internals. Also this might be the cause of the low MPG's... Module was dying... :shrug:Truely sorry about the above post... :banghead: :sofa:

The weird part, mike, is that the module still works, programmer-wise. It's just the display.. I've reseated the two connectors (one to the module, one to the monitor) and the issue is still there. I told the guy that's getting my truck, and he was cool with it. Still, I feel kinda bad about it. It's just how crap seems to work for me; perfect timing as always. For $330, one can get the 'new' CTS monitor that works on the Juice module. Problem is, you kinda need the monitor to make setting changes. There's no panel button thingy like the Edge Comp.

Rogain, when I had the Edge Juice w/Attitude on my '04.5, I had the same thing happen a couple times. I figured out that it was that the monitor got way too hot with the truck sitting in the sun all day!!!:smart: Once I got on the road and either opened the windows or turned the AC on the condition was solved ............usually within about 5-10 miles or so.If it's as hot in VA today as it was here in IL yesterday and the day before; I think that may be your problem!! If I use my sunblocker window shade, my truck doesn't get neat as hot inside!!:2cents:

Valid point... I've measure dash temperatures as high as 140*F in the sun. That's why I moved the ScanGauge II under the dash because it would darken the LCD screen from just the sun. Since its moved no issues.

Are you selling the truck?

It did it first thing this morning, too.. Like 77*F, on the way to work. It's been mega-hot here lately (95*-103*F) during the day, ind dipping into the mid 70s at night.

Hmmm... Correct me if I'm wrong but the Edge module is under the hood too. I really do wonder if it either the module under the hood cooking or is the display cooking in the cab (A-pillar)?I know the Edge EZ had water issues with the module leaking.Edge Comp was the only series I know of that was fully in the cab. The Edge Juice went back under the hood. But thinking back I never heard of Edge EZ problems from heat.(Thinking out loud)

Correct on all points. My Edge J w/A "box" was under the hood on top of the fuse box via velcro strips. The Attitude monitor was in the cab. I never had issues relating to power via the box , it was just that few times where the monitor got too hot and was "black" in color.

so, yeah. It's been fine now, for the past day or so.. oh well..

My old quad commander would turn almost black after it had been setting in the sun all day too so i usually kept it covered with something.
