You have heard it all before with the out of control debt but just look around. Most of the money we rely on to keep the economic health we all depend on is coming from credit if you regress back to it's source. And Why is it that our home values stay about the same depressed price when the energy required to build and manufacture materials is continuing to skyrocket? What's that all about? Hey something is wrong hereThen you have the Gaza Strip, right during a cease fire agreement, loading up rockets onto a Gaza war ship. Rockets provided by Iran. Possibly long range ballistic missles too. They are heading for the Israli coast. Now I'm no presidential material but I do know right now Mr.Obama, you should be standing up and telling our nation and the Gaza Strip idiots we are heading out with our ships to protect Isreal with a blockade. Just like we did with Cuba. Now where are we headed with all this bs. America was strong and it made it's dollar strong.I just don't understand it and it makes me sick... sorry for the rant, but, where are we as nation headed?

I got to thinking the other day about how we are supposed to have equal representation and yadda yadda. But if you think about it, only half of us got what we wanted (obama), which means the other half will have to put up with it. Most people seem to vote democrat or republican no matter what based on what they are registered under. George washington said political parties will only lead to corruption and manifest of power and now look what we have.. But the BS had already begun in washington's term as anyone with a disagreement is a problem. My belief is that everyone needs to get together and compromise with each other. It's so stupid that we have either Obama's bill of rights or Romney's bill of rights. Why can't they combine and make the best compromises that suit everyone. If they want to keep this crap up, they need to make it so 80% of america votes for the president. If it is half and half like it has been for the last decade, then they need to change something. It shouldn't be a toss up between 2 people, there should be one obvious choice that everyone agrees with.

I agree. When Obama won the election, a real leader would tell the American people, ""I'm not here to represent only half the country. I would not want to celebrate much on such a divided set of voters, but, speak about leading a country as a president for all Americans. :smart:That would show leadership and wisdom.:thumbup2:

I really have decided it's not a 'blue vs. red' debacle. It's a 'We the People' vs. ALL POLITICIANS.Sure, they go into DC riding on their 'promises', but 'fall in line' as soon as they take up residence in their 'new' career.I get weary of listening to the promises that 'wax' poetic Patriotism. All these guys/gals are, are game show hosts which get elected with money from special interests.I've been voting since 1980, and this year was the hardest to get myself to the booth! I mean, what kind of Country is it to vote 'for the least evil'???When my son came home from 1 tour in Iran, 2 in Afganistan, I started thinking about what it means to 'serve' our country. If he was willing to stop a bullet for the sake of our Presidents' wishes and be paid about $15k a year for his 'Patriotism'..............then I would think our duly elected official should get no less. If they truly want to 'serve' their country, and do so not for monetary gain, then put them on the same pay scale as our fine military folk they dictate to. put em up in dorm type rooms. Basic living, minimum wage. Maybe then, they would actually 'fix' something! (do their job, and get the hell out of there)I can't believe the 'smiles' these jackasses have on their face when being interviewed, or caught on camera! Do they not realize what is going on in OUR COUNTRY??? And it's because of THEIR POLICIES??? They gotta realize, just because they may not of voted for a certain hairbrained law or policy, they were PART OF THE TEAM THAT DID. Hell, I wouldn't want to show my face if I was part of that! Now I hear of rumors of having a 'infinite' debt. No more ceilings. Just keep on writing checks. Brilliant.:banghead:

Check this out and see if it relates to current times...

Political parties Washington continues to advance his idea of the dangers of sectionalism and expands his warning to include the dangers of political parties to the government and country as a whole. His warnings took on added significance with the recent creation of the Democratic-Republican Party by Jefferson, to oppose Hamilton's Federalist Party, which had been created a year earlier in 1791, which in many ways promoted the interest of certain regions and groups of Americans over others. A more pressing concern for Washington, which he makes reference to in this portion of the address, was the Democratic-Republican efforts to align with France and the Federalist efforts to ally the nation with Great Britain in an ongoing conflict between the two European nations brought about by the French Revolution. While Washington accepts the fact that it is natural for people to organize and operate within groups like political parties, he also argues that every government has recognized political parties as an enemy and has sought to repress them because of their tendency to seek more power than other groups and take revenge on political opponents.[9] Moreover, Washington makes the case that "the alternate domination" of one party over another and coinciding efforts to exact revenge upon their opponents have led to horrible atrocities, and "is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism." From Washington's perspective and judgment, the tendency of political parties toward permanent despotism is because they eventually and "gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual."[10] Washington goes on to acknowledge the fact that parties are sometimes beneficial in promoting liberty in monarchies, but argues that political parties must be restrained in a popularly elected government because of their tendency to distract the government from their duties, create unfounded jealousies among groups and regions, raise false alarms amongst the people, promote riots and insurrection, and provide foreign nations and interests access to the government where they can impose their will upon the country.

Exactly. ^^^^You know, it's hard for me to get excited about 'changing' the way things are with our Nation's problems... These guys created/allowed this mess in the first place! I'd be pretty arrogant of me to think 'they' are the answer! The great PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE in DC is 'well-oiled'On a possible related note, has anyone tried to purchase a rifle lately? 2-3 weeks waiting for stock orders is common. (back ordered) AK' S and AR's are impossible to find. methinks 'we the people' is getting a lil 'mindful'??

Reading these posts I have to say to you guys, your country isn't the only one going through this. Canada's politicians are a bunch of idiots too! I truly believe alot of these new people that run for gov't jobs do actually have good intentions going into it but once they are in, the older corrupt ones are soon to point to the door telling them they will be out in a very timely manner if they start to casue trouble going against the rest of them. Can you imagine how great our countries would and could be if we had honest people, that weren't spoiled rich from the start or that didn't have companies that benefit from gov't money, but just wanted to get in there to make their country the best and most desirable place on the planet to live.Sending billions to other countries which is nice, but my god you have people that live in your own country that cannot afford housing, food, medical care! Wouldn't it make more sense to look after your own people first and then help the others if you can? Our countries could be awesome if we had honest hard working people running them. Also amazes me how they work a few years and draw almost $100 k /year pensions, you work all your life and struggle off what they give you unless you saved on the side. I could go on forever..makes me sick, gets me aggravated!:banghead:

To refer to the OP's statements, in a nutshell, we are heading down. We are being flushed down the drain and going to hell in a handbasket. My response may not be very popular, and in fact, won't be.

But, personally, with what gray matter I have in existence between my two ears, its all biblical.

The USA is following exactly what Soddom and Gamorrah did. We no longer acknowledge God anywhere, and we are pushing him out of every aspect of our lives. In doing so, a judgement by God for this act is to become homosexual. WHOOOA! Crazy? But its not... Did God make you ***? No... You chose it. But you reap what you sow.

God is dealing with us as a nation. We are experiencing chastisement for our actions against him. He is not over with us, yet. If we choose to go down the same path we are going down, we will be judged. You do not want judgement...

I want to be alongside everyone here ranting and raving about our politicians and crooked this and crooked that, but it all has to start with, "We the People" once again. I know, why should WE have to do anything when thats all we have been "doing"? Well, if we don't get this under control, no one is going to stop this redheaded step-child from kicking and screaming for more money for their candy.

No matter what you do and no matter how hard you try, you will not succeed if you do not have the Good Lord on your side. If you do the will of God, you will be victorous. But if you do anything without him, you will not bear the victory like you ought to.

It all starts in your own heart. Be honest with yourself. Do you really think that if you had obtained this money, wealth, power as these people did, you would be any different? Don't kid yourself.

There are very few kings that have ruled rightously in their years and did what a King should have done; to rule over his people. Not with his foot on their neck, but with a loving hand, a compassion for the wellbeing of his people.

I guarantee you, we will not ever accomplish any revolution of any sort to change our country and bring it back on course unless we start with ourselves and turn to God for salvation.

Genesis 8:21

"...though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood."

...like I said, probably will be an unpopular post. ...and thats why there is no change.

I agree with you, but sadly I think it's gone to far to bring it back.

Yes I like money, and the luxuries it enables you to get, but I don't think I could live with the guilt if I knew I was going against proper morales and not doing what people put their trust in me for just for my own benefit. Respect is more valuable to me as I would rather be remembered as a decent honest person that kept my word to people, then the guy that lied and had alot of money. When my judgement day comes, I want to hopefully be seen as worthy of acceptance..and a believer

HexOrz, never apologize for defending God in your life. He is the focal point of Mike's and my existence here. God is getting bad-rap by the media. Blame everything on God. Man has been given a free-will and is responsible for his actions...not God. Yes, this tattered old ball that we live on is in sorry shape and the only solution to this state of affairs is to return to Our Lord and ask for forgiveness. Humble yourself! God gave us the 10 commandments as the rules for guidance. We threw them away and God too. And man wonders what's wrong? Look in the mirror and then bend you knees in prayer. It does't hurt. Your loss of freedom and liberty will give you big pain that will really hurt.

As you can see MoparMom and myslef have some religous background. I call it the top 10 of God and MoparMom of course "Ten Commandments" which its true name. But still and all "Thou shall not steal" Geez. I look at all the government in the world stealing to become more powerful. This is only one example of the wrong people are doing in this world. (Phone call... Continue later)

I refer to the Gov't, or I should say most of them as legalized Mafia. If you and I are caught stealing we go to court, then sometimes go to jail. Where I live ,about 6 years ago they uncovered a big scandal where alot of the local politicians were found to be buying big screen televisions, generators for their home, laptops and many other expensive items, What happened to them was the gov't, the same people they sit and hang with , was in charge of the investigation and the outcome was nothing. They made excuses as to why they bought the items and that was the end of it. And they wonder why so many peple have no faith in their leaders anymore.I bought my own Tv and my own generator and I know I didn't rob from others to get it...I worked for it. :thumbup2:

Another problem too....... these rich retirements these gov't. guys get. It's another legal steal game.''

An example is the guy that's in charge of mosquito control in one county California. $159,000 dollars a year salary, then who knows what his retirement will be.

Bill and Hillary Clinton after their Gov't service work right now make around $55,000 a month retirement. What will it be after Hillary retires from secretary of state?

Basically We.... the American people are getting ripped off pretty bad. Someone has to pay for all this.

The people that work for it, you and I, are adding the only real value to our economy. We get things done to help others in return.

The problem is not necessarily that our govt. leaders are out of control. They are a kind of people that just cannot be fixed. Our problem is actually, "We the people". We are the problem. We need to be fixed, and we can be fixed. Its just what is going to trigger this is the question. If you want to see change in our leaders and govt., we need to be the once to receive the fixing. Until we come together as a nation and RISE UP and deal with this parasite, nothing will change. What will it take to make this happen?...that is our foremost relevant issue.

So are you saying people have to start believing in God and things will get better? How do you get these people in the world that lie, cheat , steal and hurt others for their own benefit, to change? Impossible IMO. Corruption has gone so far and led by example from our gov't that people do what they feel they need to do to survive. I strongly feel the goverment is one of the biggest parasites and things cannot change until people feel treated fairly and are not struggling to live due to overspending and constantly being taken from by their leaders.I feel the biggest parasite is the gov't, because in the grand scheme of things, they are the ones that controls what goes on in the countiresBTW... I am a believer in God. It's sad that the world has come to where alot of people are scared to even admit that anymore because most will call you an idiot for saying it simply because it's not what they believe in..
