What is this term I see using more and more "Tuning: MY03 pistons and BBi Stage 1's in a MY05 truck."

MY is that a term for a model or actually "My Truck"?

:iagree:

No joke. I try to avoid using acronyms too much.

Thank you for the simple answer I never thought of that one.

You should come work at the railroad. F me, sometimes i have to take a couple of seconds and think what something means

BNSF, UP, or?

What position?

BNSF, UP, or?What position?

BN, machinist. Pretty much any coal train going east or south out of wyoming comes through here. Im actually on a job where an electrician and I are on call to fix trains and locomotives that break down.

So, can I use you as a reference for a job, now? :lmao: Seems like you need to know someone to get in...

Ya they are hiring like crazy. Seems like they want people with no mechanical experience for some reason. If you have a military background it helps.

BNSF is huge in my area as well and always hiring, the thing that kept me from trying for a job with them over the years was the odd hours of work and always on call for many of the positions plus I am not for union jobs either, I don't like living life on the road 8 hours at a time. I like my head on my own pillow at night.

Thats why i work in a "craft". Im actually holding a day job for the last year and i work 730-330 with tue/wed off. Have 88 people below me in my town alone and another 20 or so in my district. Im pro union but i wish the unions could get back to the way/reason they were started. We get ran over by the company and the union cant do much. Oh well. Its good pay, great insurance, and i will have an amazing retirement. My dad retired as a machinist after 31 years and he makes more money sitting at home than i do showing up to work. And he never invested in a 401k.

MY is model year, something I have seen used on multiple platforms recently. I'm in the army, everything has a TLA. (3 letter acronym).
