Hey everyone. I'm new to the site, but I've been on a few other forums. I'm 21 and I've owned my Cummins for 5 years now. You can see everything I've done to it in my signature along with my other projects. I'm in my 3rd year of a 4 year Construction Management degree, then after that I'll eventually take over my family's excavating company where I'm a heavy equipment operator when I'm not at school.

Hello my name is Chris. I grew up in Western Montana and have found myself in Boise Idaho for the last few years. I've been a lurker here and cumminsforum.com for a few years now. I can't even count how much time/money you guys have saved me with my miscelanous truck issues. I finally broke down and registered so I could start contributing instead of just taking. Thanks again guys, I look forward to many more years of information and help.Chris

Hello, forum members I'm kind of new to the 24 valve Cummins. I've been in a 12 valve the last 8 years. I bought this 24 from a friend, and it seems like I've been spending money like a drunk sailor on shore leave. It seems my friend, who is a heavy diesel mechanic by trade, didn't spend a lot of time maintaining his own truck. I've got it driving pretty good, now I may do some small performance upgrades. Looking forward to sharing some information on this forum. Thanks, WB

Hi, everyone. New member here from Reno Nevada but I'm always coming to this forum when I'm researching things about my 2000 5.9 24 valve. I've also recently installed a quadzilla so I know I'll be spending a lot more time here. I'm sure I'll learn alot from the stickied posts and the experienced members. So thank you in advanced!

I had an email invite to post an intro and forgot to, then I responded up forum to a question so thought I'd poke my head in here and say "Hi". This is my 4th Dodge CTD, my 2nd '01 and my 2nd one with an auto trans. I bought my first '01 (w. manual trans) new off the lot, drove it for 7 years and 60K miles and traded it for an SUV for my wife. Two years later I bought a used '08 w. auto trans and traded it a month later for an '05 w. manual. I drove that one for 6 years and 55K miles. Two months ago I bought this '01 with 193K miles and found this forum while researching the auto trans. I figured this transmission has been around lo…

I've been lurking since I got my 01. Before I had a 94 powerstroke and decided it was time for an upgrade. Now I'm rolling with a 01 ext cab 24v. So far I've just thrown a quadzilla adrenalin 2 with Bluetooth for my tablet and a airdog 2 165 gph on it. I just got my ARP studs in the mail along with a set of DAP 125 horse injectors. Hopefully those will go in after the girlfriends dad doesn't have my truck red tagged for ujoints and axle seals. I've been trying to get the hang of tuning my truck myself, but for now I'm just going to grab everyone elses.

New guy here from Arkansas. Grew up on the farm and been around heavy equipment and diesel engines my whole life. I bought a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 about a year ago. It has the 2004.5 5.9 Cummins. I started noticing recently that I was getting quite a bit of white smoke from the blow by/breather tube under the truck. I bought the truck with around 130,000 miles on it and it currently has around 180,000 miles on it. I changed the crank case vent filter on it thinking that might help. While I expect the motor to have some wear and show some blow by for it being this old and for me hauling with it on a regular basis I am a little surprised at the amount of smoke. I have h…

I want to congratulate and thank mainly the father of the Smurfs haha Mr. Mopar1973man for his great help and dedication to this place I think I am not the only one who has found solutions to the problems that our vans may have but the most valuable thing for me is the time that I could save myself in leaving my truck in the workshop since I depend on having it in perfect condition for the sustenance of my family and consequently time saved is equal to not losing money having to have the truck in the workshop so help for the maintenance of the page is more than fair I invite you all to appreciate the content so complete that there is here helping with what they can, I bel…

Hello, first time being on a forum. Just bought the Iquad adrenaline to replace edge with attitude. Installation seems to be exactly the same as edge except extra power wire to battery. Hooked up red/white wire to fuse slot #9, power to gauges all came on without key being in truck. Truck will not start, unless I unplug this wire and turn Iquad off. Any ideas where I may have gone wrong with installation?

Got a message about my account going inactive, so I wanted to post to keep it alive. Still got my 06 Flatbed, but she's been sitting a month or two due to high diesel prices. Still drives like new though. Maybe this spring/summer I can log some miles on her. I have 4 fullsize Ford Broncos in the stables, one decommissioned as a parts truck. My 96 Bronco 302/5 speed manual is a bad weather commuter, and then my 99 Chevy Metro does fair weather commuting duty. 06 Cummins seems to only get a workout for HayHauling duty, or to get oversize stuff like 10' stock panels, etc. Later
