I've always been a little worried about using other air filters besides the Fleetguard filters made for the factory air box.....Especially after reading some of the stories of people posting how a lot of the performance air filters were bad & would shorten the life of the engine.....I had a K&N in for just a short time & I noticed there was an increase in power, but went back to the Fleetguard after hearing that the K&N didn't provide good air filtration.....After seeing the writeup here on Mopar1973Man's website for the BHAF I was thinking about installing one of these.....I was just wondering how good the air filtration is compared to the stock filters? …

My 1998 Dodge/Cummins has front disc breaks. The disc/hub appears to be one piece. What year did Dodge modify the hub and rotor so they were seprate, and would the change also fit the 98'. Thank you, Kerley

  6. I bought a used 1998 24V QCSB (185k) about 6 months ago. Occasionally, it will fail to start for exactly one hour. Then it will start right up. I suspect an aftermarket alarm. I have no fob that might have come with the alarm, but there is a switch hidden under the dash which enables/disables it. Same problem not matter which position the switch is in. Most of the time it starts just fine. But has failed to start twice in the last week. So, the frequency may be increasing. Any ideas at all? I know the alarm has lots of wires but haven't any idea where to start to troubleshoot. And it may not be the alarm at all. If it is the alarm shutting down the ignition and it has a t…

Hey,I had a quick question. My brake light by my dash gauges has been coming on and off frequently since I have owned the truck. My seatbelt light will stay on sometimes also even if both are buckled up. Just those 2 lights. The previous owner said they came on and he never could figure out why. Neither can I. I have had no problems with my brake pads, lines, or fluid. Always full and new pads and light still comes on. I am starting to think it may not have anything to do with the brakes. Maybe electrical? wiring? etc? Does anybody have any wise input on this or ever experienced this? Thank you.

Moparians,I'm wanting to get another Mopar key cut for my truck to use as an ignition key that I leave inside the truck so I can leave it running and lock the doors. I've got several just plain hardware keys for it as spares but I'm wanting a Mopar oem one. Does anyone have an idea what a dealer charges to cut another key? I found some key blanks on ebay for like $9 plus $4 shipping. Just thought I would check at a dealer before I go and buy them off there. Any ideas?:shrug:Thanks,Winslow

I have been told that the wiring for the fog lights is part of the main lighting harness and not able to be ordered separatly. Is this true and if not does anybody have a part number or pictures of where it connects into the main harness so I can make the fog light harness. Thank you,

Well guys,Was not a good week last week in Phoenix. We had a massive hail storm here, dropping hail up to tennis ball sized. Truck was where it always is, out in the drive. My garage is too small for the truck. The entire truck is now peppered with small to medium sized dents. Glass made it fine but all the rest of the sheet metal, especially on the left hand side is peppered. House as well, with almost $5000 in damage there. They are now offering me to total it out and take the truck and give me $11.5k cash. Other option is to total the truck and put a "salvage title" on it with me keeping the truck and giving me about $7.5k in hand. First off I like the truck and really …

Heres what I get if I compare my dads 5.7 chevy to mine. I have never had to change anything other than wear items either. I changed the clutch since I turned it up, other than that, nothing. When pulling our trailer, it costs him 108% more to go 400 miles (distance for the trip we take a lot) which of course is 8% over twice as much.
