  1. This where you need to go in concerns to asking questions on fuel additives and 2 cycle oil. Welcome to the forum and ask lots of questions. ;)

Didn't know where to put this. May need to move it somewhere else. I was planning on rebuilding the engine in this 98 12 valve someday. Have tried to sell it, but my wife loves the truck and priced it so high no one was interested. Have a co worker with a 17 year old son who wanted a diesel, so got to talking, they came and looked at it, made an offer, did some negotiating, waved some cash in my wife's face, and they took it home. It needs a lot of work, mainly engine rebuild. Good fixer upper for a kid. Should learn a lot. My grandsons were here for the sale. They are 7 and 8. They spent a lot of time in that old truck from birth to about age 4 or 5. They w…

I only see a 30lb spring on their site. Anyone ever try one? Does it actually give 30lbs? That's too much. The spring in my unit seems to be getting weaker as time goes by. Stretched it a little and added a washer. Had 18-19lbs steady for awhile. Pressure slowly dropped to 15-16lbs over 8-10 months. Replaced seperator and fuel filters, no change in pressure. Added another washer and pressure is at 17-18lbs but if I drive about 50 miles or so, the pressure gradually drops to around 15. Will drop to 13-14 if I get on it. Hopefully it's just an old spring losing its tension and not the pump slowly dieing. Was just curious about the replacement spring air dog offe…

About a year ago I bought a bunch of washers that would be about the right size for shims. Then after doing research about it decided not to run them as people were saying they weren't hard enough steel. Fast forward to about a month ago when I ordered new injectors, I bought some shims about the same time, but there were some complications with the wrong ones being sent, which I found out after having the injectors on the bench... So thinking back to the washers, I decided to try it. I wrote down the exact pressures I set each one to, aaannnnnddddd temporarily misplaced it, but they were all 320 bar +/- 3 bar. I put the higher pop ones on the outside…

  14. I'm trying something different. I'm straying my calculation a bit. I know that the Hankook 245's are the same weight capacity as the 235's. Now I'm going to keep the offset from front to back but I'm going to rise +10 PSI to both axles. So my front is 70 PSI and the rear is 50 PSI. I'm mostly highway miles right now but I've had strange wear patterns in the past running 60 PSI front and 40 PSI in the rears. It would feather or cup the edges of the tires. When the winter weather and road conditions come I might drop back to get the bite for traction purpose. With the pressures this high I've notice my contact patch is much smaller for sure.
