2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / Performance

Hey guys.Got tired wondering which was better.HX35, HE351cw or Super HX40.So ---- bought a HX35 (Im an auto running a HY35) and sold it without putting it on. But have now bought both a Super HX40 and a he351cw. Going to feel the differences for myself and post results here - both spool and EGT and boost/feel pressures.Took my hy35 off today. Bolted on my HX40 with new DP to find I am 4.5" short ..... due to elbow ..... so going to have to get the DP extended during week and put back on. Will update when I do.Then it will be off in 2 weeks maybe and put on the he351cw - will update on that too.For a funny side bit- I was yanking and yanking on the 4th bolt of the t3 fla…

When I first hooked up my mystery switch it worked great. Now it locks the convertor for maybe half a minute then it unlocks and I have to turn the truck off before it will work normally again. Gives me p0723 code which I had before too when it worked normally. p.s. I took the switch and wiring out when the truck went to the tranny shop for the rebuild cuz I didn't want them down my throat for using it. This problem occured after I got the truck back and rewired it.

I want to install 36" tires what should I look for a lift kit or level kit & how high should I go this is on my 2500 series cummins

$150.00 totle cost. THE 5'' STACKS ARE STAINLESS AND CAME FROM EBAY. COST $100.00 The crossover came from scrap yard $15:00. 2 band clamps cost $12:00.The elbow came off of a old pipe I had. The section of flex pipe cost $21:00.

I was wondering what you guys thought about the new quick connect system? It looks like the push lock system is a better deal. Also wondered what thoughts were on hooking the power to alternator or battery? Over all looks like a great system.

Dodge says the first major overhaul is at 300,000 miles 350,000 for the newer commmon rails what does this mean I dont know of anyone on this site that has done this do you even need to do anything I plan to adjusting the valves, replace the oil and waterpump's and pulling the head to inspect for damage/wear what are your guys opinions? sorry if this is in the wrong place I didnt know where to go with it.

Bought a used Edge EZ a few months back,worked fine then all of a sudden quit. Is there any thing I can test other than for a broken wire before I send it in.

I am looking to put around 75 hp injectors in my truck. what is the best and what is the worst brand, and has any one had there stock injectors rebuilt to 75 hp. I have a friend that has his stock injectors that I can rebuild and give him my set after we install them. Thanks

So what should I know heading into this project? What about the alignment, I understand that getting things set precisely is important on these trucks. I have a serious wandering problem and hope to gain a lot of ground with this problem.

My 2002 HO cummins had a catch can off the oil breather on the front of the engine. I was sick of forgetting to empty it, then dripping all over my driveway, or spilling when changing. I just extending the hose down past my axle. It coated everything down stream of it with crud, but it seemed to work (only dripped a little). Last summer I nearly overheated when towing and I'm blaming the problem on oil vapor getting sucked into the radiator (I read this happens with the stock setup). quick question ..does any one know at what point the stock turbo hx 35 i think needs the waste gate hooked back up if at ? i havent made any huge performance upgrades yet ..just a few minor ones but i know at some point i will need to think about getting the waste gate working again to keep the turbo safe

Ok guys I have 315-75's on my truck and I believe that my mph is off about 13% so if i am trying to calcuate my correct mpg would i take my total mpg' per tank and multiply by 13%??? :shrug:If i am thinking right this should give me an accurate mpg. Any help is much appreciated.

I have 130, 000 miles on the truck in my sig with the stock transmission. The transmission doesn't seem to be slipping, but if I upgrade to 100 hp sticks can I get away with just a converter and valve body from a reputable company like dtt.
