  1. So this is the girlfriends van! The left rear light assy was smashed by her backing into a tree- replaced and it works like a champ. Th left front turn bulb blew so i replaced it and dont get anything. When I throw the turn signal on the left DRL drops off. Does anybody have a wiring diagram or testing procedure for an issue like this? I am not familiar with all the new can bus stuff on lighting on the newer cars so need some guidance I have a good Fluke 87V DVM. thanks

Well I'm still on my way of fixing up my mini van. I just got my new tires for $380 installed and balanced. Really made it a better ride, smoother without the broken belt. So far I've only been running this mini van locally. Now with new tires I'm willing to travel now longer distances. No issues, no leaks, no performance issues. Just cheap tires but fresh rubber does better in the snow for control and just a bit better traction wise. Today I've got to haul out to Cascade ID let's see how it does.

Have a 99 ram 1500 that has been a slight basket case. Just got the truck and am getting it closer to road worthy. Right new i have an issue with my turn signals. When you use the turn signal stalk, there is nothing. No relay click, no rapid flash, nothing. Hazards work. Running lights work. High beams work. I have not yet checked fuses and relays. Its dark and 20 degrees out. So thats a possibly tomorrow thing.. Also checked functions after dark.. Running against a possible blizzard this Saturday as well but thats another story.. My thought is flasher but hazards are still working.. So does that mean multifunction switch?

  4. Ok gang. Put a bit of effort into the mini-van and every time I went to town and stopped anywhere the oil light would come on and chime. I ordered a cheap $20 NAPA oil pressure switch for the light. When I got under to look at the oil filter and the oil pressure switch the switch had been leaking and dropping down the lower radiator hose. After fighting that red lock tab to get it unlocked and remove the plug. You can see the oil been leaking out of the switch inside the plug. Now installed the oil pressure switch and not seen the oil light all day. Yes the light comes on for a bulb check still at start up. Now I dug even deeper and considered if…

I'm now the owner of a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L. It's got about 173k miles. The best part is it was given to me for free. Yup. It's not pretty but it runs. Since it sat all winter buried the doors or windshield leaked and got the carpet wet. The moisture in the cabin is creating weird gremlins. But it seems to have a bad oil pressure switch or the bearings are bit wore out. But runs good.

Is there a difference between the early 2nd gens and later second gens in regards to the heater box? My moms truck is smoking out of the vents and is an early interior 2nd gen. Need to start gathering parts and was wondering what swaps between the them

  11. In september E10 is replacing normal E5 petrol/gas here in the UK, E10 is 10% bio, I've read that my 3500 V8 will be ok on E10 as you guys have been using that for a while hope thats right. I spotted a 6x6 REO truck on ebay the other week that was true multi fuel diesel/petrol/cooking oil/parrafin, not sure how something runs on diesel and petrol but was rather took by it As I have a 3500 v8 that does sub 20mpg when it's on the road and a 24v thats just classed as a dirty diesel here and deserves to be squashed I decided to get a hybrid for my wife (she can drive the rubbish I thought) her Nissan quasquai lease is done in October so test drove a Volvo X…

  12. Yup you seen that correctly. I sold Lil' Red. Eileen's daughter (Brianna) bought it. I'll miss that truck its what I start my life over with back in 2001 after Devin passed away (Previous girlfriends son). I built my computer business back up and used that truck to get back and forth to work. Being Brianna bought it it least it still in the family. It been sitting under the tree for over 6 months and started up and drove just like it always did.

Mate of mine drops round yesterday, he has a 03 1500 hemi, I scanned this about a year ago for a misfire, cylinders 5 and 7 low secondary spark IIRC so ordered coils from R/A for him so he fits the coils and the misfire is still there, he buys a cheapo code reader as he lost my number and the code had changed can't remember what to but it was plugs/leads/coils or ECM, sort of the same fault but different code So he changes the plugs/leads already done the coils, no change so he buys a ECM from the USA which matched all numbers on his original, fitted that and all good except ABS light flashing hence the visit to me yesterday, so this morning I go plug the S/O …

My Brothers new to him 2000 1500 5.2 2wd auto of which he's had for maybe a month and I said it was a good truck (for a 1500) has just this afternoon stopped driving as in no drive forward/reverse any gear nothing but a horrible rattle whenever engine is started, this isn't a real metallic rattle it's more like a metallic rattle that has oil for lube if that makes sense I towed him very slowly back to our workshop and got it onto the lift, dropped the pan and there is steel fillings in one spot at the front end of the pan slightly to the left side, I think the torque convertor is dead as it's been having a lockup wobble randomly, we changed all the solenoids/sensors …

Today I picked up my new to me 2018 2WD Ram 1500 SLT with the Ecodiesel and 8-speed auto. For a newer vehicle it's a darn low trim package, even has manual seats! I think it's supposed to have heated mirrors. It supposedly came with tow package, but there's no 2" receiver, so...? Has 7-way plug and factory brake controller. Dash readout claims to have only 800 hours combined idle and drive time, but has 50,500miles! Something isn't right. New engine or ECM already? A 49-state tune is high on priority list, from Green Diesel Engineering. It's pretty spendy, but they have to recoup their EPA compliance testing somehow, I suppose. So far I…

I got called to this local gents place. It's a 2017 Ram EcoDiesel. I grabbed a code reader and it had a EGR temp sensor hi code twice. Then a code for intake leak. The manifold start smoking and smells of burnt plastic when its running. Come to find out this truck has a EGR and EGR cooler recall. I told the gent that there is no sense in me fixing it for a price when the dealer can fix under the recall for free. Time passes. Now the owner of the truck gets a friend with a flat bed trailer. Calls me up because the truck will not start and there is no way to shift to neutral. Being smart I grab my phone then ask about WiFi but the gent doesn't have …

  17. Hello, Nearly all miles have been highway miles. On 2 separate occasions, P0306 code appeared, and then cleared on its own. 3rd time it appeared, all plugs and #6 COP were replaced. Code returned shortly afterwards. Went back in and replaced #6 Injector. P0306 code ever present. P0306 is only code that has ever been presented. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

  18. Since this applies to many Generations, I assume this belongs here... Hopefully an administrator can snag the PDF and put it in the 'downloads' section. http://jhdiesel.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Dodge-Cummins-Bosch.pdf Notice that Page 3 shows Bosch standard for most of our 2nd Gen injectors to be no less than 300 Bar and no higher than 314 Bar when new. I also noticed the RV275 injectors are paired with a IPVR16X pump. I read elsewhere that that pump has larger plungers than our SO and HO pumps, but also may defuel earlier than our pickup truck models. I also can't believe the number of different part numbers for injectors, like that an 01 wi…

Just bought exhaust replacement from https://www.mopargenuineparts.com/sku/82215642ab.html and asked the dealership that sold me the truck if they can install it - they said they don’t do that and that the replacement would void the warranty. Can anyone confirm if any of the upgrades that we do(muffler, lights, and so on) could potentially void any warranties? The dealer did suggest I reach out to local muffler experts shop to do the install and these guys told me they never heard of such issues(warranties being voided by a Exhaust tips)
