Moving some stuff around and loaded a trailer full of engines. No cummins but I figured some of you would like to see them.http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq115/memphisruss/hemi%20mopar/hmmmbig.jpg http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq115/memphisruss/hemi%20mopar/photo.jpg http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq115/memphisruss/hemi%20mopar/photo.jpg

I learned on Internet Explorer. With my MS it takes forever to learn a new system... so I HATE making changes. I'm running Windows 7 & my IE has all the automatic updates. But IE just seems to hang up very often, forcing me to close IE & start over. My latest, somethings just won't work... trying to make an online purchase that just won't go through on IE. Recommendations on another browser that works easily?

NO, I'm not talking about Kate! I'm talking Disney... I'm thinking of constructing a one of a kind Princess's Castle. NOTE*** I've lost my mind*** But the girls (grand-daughters) seem to be well into the doll phase.I'm thinking "like a doll house" back open. Maybe ~36" wide, narrow enough to go on a shelf... so maybe ~12" deep.Needs a plywood base board under it all.I'm thinking largely cardboard & luan plywood. Spray paint. I'm concerned about sharp screws & combined with kids, so planning to use a lot of glue, screws might be temporary until the glue sets. Anybody ever built such a thing?Anybody with ideas?Pictures?? (post or email to me) Russ

I am looking for openions on tires. My last two sets of Michelin265/75 R16 X radial lt tires only got 42,000 miles each. I beleive the original tires were BF Goodrich T/A and they went 62,000 miles. I am looking at a set of Yokohama tires with the same rating as the Michelin for $750.00 verses Michelin at $1050.00 a set. Had good luck with Yokohama 15yrs back in fleet service(11R22.5s)

You have heard it all before with the out of control debt but just look around. Most of the money we rely on to keep the economic health we all depend on is coming from credit if you regress back to it's source. And Why is it that our home values stay about the same depressed price when the energy required to build and manufacture materials is continuing to skyrocket? What's that all about? Hey something is wrong hereThen you have the Gaza Strip, right during a cease fire agreement, loading up rockets onto a Gaza war ship. Rockets provided by Iran. Possibly long range ballistic missles too. They are heading for the Israli coast. Now I'm no presidential material but I do k…

When Sheila bought the car... the salesman told her 3500 miles initial changes & later severe service. 7500 miles "normal service". Now the Stealership service manager is recommending 3500 intervals. On the surface, I'm thinking that this is just another case of self promoting, revenue enhansement. Then, I recall that this is just a 1.4 motor. I questioned the tiny motor when she bought it but it has a great warrentee. Anybody had any real work experience? What say you?Russ

I finally put my car in the shop... the transmission is making noises that it shouldn't. IF the transmission proves to be something minor, then I keep the car & have a bunch of small jobs done. No sweat, I just have to drive my big 4X4 Dodge.I drove to town to get my Thanksgiving haircut... good thing I drive like a granny! I'm pulling up to the main road & the brake pedal kisses the floor & (as if I needed to be told) the red warning light BRAKES and the yellow warning light ABS come on. Brakes are out. Truck didn't stop until I was accross the sidewalk with the bumper into the travel lane. When I push the pedal & can hear it sucking air in & out. Scr…

Just got done making a batch of fall Horseradish. My eyes are still watering and I do believe I burnt my sinuses and throat in the process!!!:stuned:It's still a beautiful thing though.:2cents:Normally I wait for a "good hard freeze" before I make it. However; we've not had one, we've had numerous "frosts"...............but not a hard freeze. The hard freeze kills the leaves above ground and sets the "stuff" into the roots. The leaves of my plants were dead, but I think that was mainly attrition of mild frosts!!!:smart:Haven't sampled it yet, but if the vapors are any indicator of heat; I think I did well!!!

I'm looking at a new mobility scooter. All scooters are electric powered usually 24V... 2 SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) or Gel true deep-cycle batteries in series. RV wet cells are not spill proof & are really a hybrid battery just as a FYI. So this scooter I'm looking at is really extreem light weight & the maker offers a Li-Ion battery pack which would be a great option if the price wasn't rediculious. I am considering buying the scooter without batteries or with the SLA & sourcing my own LiFePO4 cells or battery pack. I don't have any experience with these. I'm told they require a balancing system (BCS: Battery Control System) charger but the sources are a…

Alright, so I started the arguous journey of trying to find the right waterproofer for my leather boots. Its been a while now, and I'm not sure if I found the trick.I've tried a couple commercially available products such as kiwi dry and silicon-guard. Applying them per instruction, they fail to repel water adequately, IMO.So, I decided to pursue a more "natural" method to achieving this. I recently was able to acquire tallow from 4 deer carcasses. I rendered out the fat and yielded a quart. It was not perfect, so it has a smell to it, but I can tolerate it.Being what kind of man my father in law is, he told me it would not work. As he said that it would rot out the leath…

Rogan's chainsaw thread reminded me that I have been wanting some info on this for a while. I read that adding additional exhaust ports to the muffler on a chainsaw will really improve the power, that and a larger carb or just a fully adjustable one. I have an MS260 with a 16" bar. It's a great saw, but like Michael, I spend most of my time cutting at altitude. I don't cut too much, but enough that I want a little more power at altitude. I am thinking of porting the muffler, and getting a fully adjustable carb for it. Thoughts? Experiences?

AH64 and I are going to make a huge spreadsheet on the year to year changes of the engines down to the last nozzle differences. I can take care of 89-98.5 12V's, he has all the 5.9 CR's, but neither of us know every minute detail of the VP engines from year to year. For example, in 1995 or something (need to look) the 12valve pistons has lower top rings than previously.....yes, I'm talking EVERY year to year change detail. We got hundreds of pieces scattered throughout the net and I think it would be neat to make this happen. Since 90% of you seem to have a VP truck, I think you guys can throw in what you know about them that changed and I can combine it all. That me…
