The place I work at is a large resort/casino with 5 golf courses. Every year we have a problem with thousands of geese either staying here to raise a family or stopping for a while on their trip to where ever they go. On average, each goose will leave 2lbs of manure where ever it wants every day. This is a major problem for the grass, the golfers, and the equipment I'm responsible for. We have 2 older Boarder Collies that are trained to chase geese but they are basically just shop mascots now due to their age. My Director decided to pick up this speed boat to help chase them out of our lakes and hopefully keep them moving. I'll add the boat info and specs as soon as…

Here's what a "scrounged" today.I went on a "beer run" yesterday, and on my way back I saw the boys cutting wood at this one house in my neighborhood. I stopped by and asked about the wood...............the home owner said I could have as much as I wanted!!!! The pix are just what was cut that would fit in my future stove. I didn't have to use my saw at all!!!!! I'm going back tomorrow PM and cut a bunch of stuff that was left long. A lot of wood there left!!! Here you go!!

Since everyone here is so willing to share their knowledge and experience, I thought I would offer to share as well. I have access to service manuals and parts info for a variety of equipment ranging from chainsaws and line trimmers to back hoes and skid steers and larger equipment as well. Both homeowner and commercial grade. Some of the files are very large and you might need a dropbox account for me to send them but I'm more than willing to share. Too many manufacturers to list them all but here is a few:John Deere - if you have anything JD, I most likely have a manual for it.KubotaNew HollandToro - almost anything they ever madeShindiawaKawasakiStihlClub Car

We have all seen your pix of your mega-loads of firewood. We never see any small stuff. I was wondering how "small" you go as far as wood for your stove goes. I've been keeping everything 2" in diameter and over................just because I want to have "dry" wood for next winter.Just curious!!!Thanks.

So I bought this little trailer... http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/5385-Bought-a-trailer-Hope-this-wasn-t-a-mistake I'm determined to fix it so I won't have to fix it again. So I am going to run all the wiring in protective plastic tubing... Naturally, the holes through the angle iron frame are not big enough. MamaMia! This trailer is built of the toughest steel I've seen. I managed to enlarge the existing wire holes... one step at a time through my drill-dex, slow turning 1/2" drill and cutting oil. Now I'm trying to drill holes to tap to mount my cushioned clamps (tap drill for 1/4-20). If I could get a pilot hole, I could probably enlarge it. I've bee…

So, have you guys been one of the few aware of the recent showing of an organization shedding light on the LRA in Africa? Joseph Kony, the warlord of the LRA. The MSM has been covering the topic on it, and exposing an organization call, "Invisible Children". Check out this link of a topic I posted on another person, fighting the good fight against KONY and the LRA! http://fnforum.net/forums/freestyle-room/26781-something-you-may-appreciate.html#post279643

I live about 8mi from work, and I've been commuting in the Cummins. I know it's a little hard on it, especially in winter, as the truck never gets 'warm' due to the short stints. And, my fuel economy has dropped significantly in the past couple of months (from 14-15, down to 9-12).. I've got no explanation why, either.. So, I bought a "beater" from a good friend of mine. Now, for some reason, everyone around here thinks I've gotten a raise, or make way more money than I actually do Here's what $2000 got me.. 1997 Range Rover 4.6HSE V8 w/BMW ZF 5spd Automatic 130,450mi AWD Beluga Black Pearl 18" Indigo Blue Alloys Power everythi…

I picked up my wood stove today from the trucking depot. Heavy mofo!!! Sadly, it's gonna be relegated to the garage; where you see it in the pix, until I get my hearth built. After that I can set it on the hearth and do the chimney thing. But before all that, I gotta tear out the old fireplace unit and reframe and close up the wall it was in.Some pix of the stove.

No this isn't a divorce story. Friday was my day completely off from everything. No work, no college, and even my kids didn't have to go to school. My wife had to work though. I had recently sold her 09 Ford Focus because the number of issues the car had. She had mentioned multiple times that she didn't feel safe driving it anyway. So she began driving my old 94 Dodge Dakota Sport. I had kept the truck around just because. I liked the truck. It was under powered with a Magnum V6, didn't have any power options, didn't even have a/c. However it was a 4x4 with 31" tires and did great in the deeper snow and mud. Every time my wife would get on me for keeping it aro…
