Now that I'd getting into the trailer rebuild project http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/5385-Bought-a-trailer-Hope-this-wasn-t-a-mistake I'm going to have set this trailer up with all the stuff I insist on. Everyone who uses my 16 foot landscaper's trailer admires the vinal over stainless lanyard for the hitch lock pin... but I don't have any more left from my days of working at a marina. I opened the spring on the hitch pin, slipped the eye in & put it back together. The other end had an eye whrough a small plate tab for a screw (though I could make a screw & washer work). Does anybody have a source? Thanks guys! Russ

Here in North Dakota Ron Paul made a 4 city tour in 2 days, very short and only announced a couple days in advance to prevent his opposition from organizing any negativity campaigns against him, "It worked" I got to see him speak in Bismarck monday the 20th on Presidents day to boot "Knock on wood" in person. It was a great time and a packed house. I have been so fired up and fed up with how things are going I attended my district GOP convention which was on Thursday night and got myself elected as a delegate to go to the state GOP convention. At least I got my foot in the door now. After spending a few hours visiting with folks who also were elected del…

Hopefully there is an insurance company that understands the cost of all the goodies put on to a truck. You know..... when you start putting on lots of aftermarket products that adds up into some bucks.Plus another issue is this blue book value where you couldn't find another Cummins truck that is 10 years old with low miles, and a real cream puff like mine. It's finally paid for, so how can I possibly get a fair amount of full coverage with book value floating around? With all the goodies too?T.I.A.

Well gang...MoparMom's finally went south and was acting goofy either it would boot to Win Vista and not hook up to the internet or it would boot and act like its finishing a update then crash and circle back through booting process. I had enough. I'm in the process of backing up a few partitions and now installing Ubuntu Linux x64 to her computer. I think she is going to really enjoy the solid environment. As for me I'm running a dual boot computer and working my way out of Windows as well. As soon as I find the rest of my replacement software or a emulator to use the Win Apps on Linux (WINE) then Vista will disappear from my computer as well. As for the shop computer I'm…

So, what the hell. I might as well tell a story while I got time. The beginnings of another day have come and the sun is rising as I type. The nights winding down and its about midnight. I had decided it was bed time and I should go to bed anyways as the wife prefers me to go to bed with her. Suddenly, the pager starts buzzing and beeping as it always does whenever a 2nd alarm tone goes out.Dispatch gets on and notifies 2nd alarm and that there is a mutual aid structure fire on said street. Well, that put a stop to all the sleep this morning. I get up and race to put the clothes I just took off back on. I kiss the wife goodbye and tell her I love her. She gives me the usua…

to kill today, and here's what I did. Didn't get it all split, as it started raining and I thought I take a few pix for y'all. Should've taken a before picture while they were still in the rounds. Still have a couple more to go as you can see. All hand split with a couple wedges and my Fiskars X25. Took about 3 hours.I cut it yesterday and hauled it to the house. It was only about a block away, so it went fast......about 2.5 hours, as I had to clear a bit of brush to get at this ash tree that fell in the wind storm last summer.Anyhow, right now I'm enjoying a cold one. Here's the pix.......

I'm not the type to pass around emails and such but this was a very pretty email and I wanted to share it with all you. In these troubling times it might be a good idea to say a simple prayer... God Bless... [TABLE=class: MsoNormalTable] [TR] [TD=bgcolor: transparent] ASAP!! "Always Say APrayer" Please do not break. Just 32 words, "God, our Father, If it is your will, walk through my house and take away all my worries and illnesses and please watch over and heal my family in Jesus name, Amen." This prayer is so powerful. Pass this to 12 people including me. Do not break or ask questions. Does God com…

I recentley inherited a Massey Ferguson dozer and the started quit on me. After going to a couple starter shops I now realize it's getting hard to get parts for this machine. The first shop i took it to said he can't even get the parts to rebiuld it, can't find any used ones but he did track one new one down but it's alot of $$$. The USA being as big as what it is, made me wonder if any of you guys know of spots to get this type of item or parts to do a complete rebuild. A buddy of mine did track down a brand new one for for a little over $500, but I would kind of like to find somewhere that sells parts also for future needs. The starter is a CAV # 1320090 off a Massey Fe…

Guys, once the weather breaks here, I'm gonna tear out the "zero clearance" or "pre-fab" metal box type fireplace in my house. My plans are it put a wood stove in its place. I've done the research and such on doing this. It involves taking the current fireplace chase (which is in the garage) totally out, as well as the existing fireplace chimney. I had though about using the existing chase in the garage, but it's actually gonna cost more in the long run because I'll need numerous double wall chimney pipe bends.........30* ones to follow the existing chase..............$$$$$$$So what I plan on doing, and this could change, is close up the wall where the fireplace was, f…

Thought I would share this as it was kinda neat. I have a LAN speed test program that benchmarks how long and how fast a file of a set size takes to go somewhere and back. I simply share a folder on another computer and then it sends a file back and forth between it. 2 computers communicate with a 1gbps connection (1000mbps) and then moms on her laptop through wifi and I also have wifi on this computer to optionally use. Here were the results from benchmarking. As you can see, if you have a fast internet connection, wifi will hinder it big time. Thankfully most websites don't seem to put out more than 5mbps, but bigger downloads could really be hu…

Anybody on here have experience with performance upgrades to agriculture equipment? A rep from the manufacturer of our tractor told me about a chip from Europe somewhere that is the best one out there, had 3 settings, etc but he wouldn't tell me the brand because our tractor still is under warranty. Just wondering if anyone can tip me off on what this unit might be called.
