Sorry gang...

I hate delaying the site update but... I've got called out to look at a job last night. After meeting with the owner of the truck and doing some basic diagnostic I had to condemn a CR engine Cummins. For sure got piston damage in one hole. You can hear the loss of compression during cranking. Needless to say after talking awhile I found out he's got 4 trucks in his fleet and looking for a diesel mechanic. He's been hunting around the valley for diesel mechanics and my name was brought up more than once. So I ended up with the job. So I've now got a CR engine to pull out and replace. I've also got a 12V 1995 Dodge to go straighten out after a hotrod shop made a mess out of it in Boise, ID. Then there is 2 other he mention but we agreed that the 95 would be easy to straighten out. So last night I was suppose to pull down the site and do back ups but I was tired after coming in late last night.

So like the notice says it will occur at a drop of the hat. When I get time again I'll shut down the forum and get the backups done and them get the upgrade process going. Since I've got a contract with the software provider and maintenance fees are paid up I might as well let them do the conversion to the new software.

Good work Mike!

things seem to rolling right along at this point.

While in mobile view is there a way to switch to the desktop view? I'm probably just missing it. Things are looking great so far. The only hiccup I run into is right after login I get error 1s160/2? I just go to the drop down menu and select forum and can continue navigating. Any advice?

My "desktop view" is in the browser settings, not in the webpage.

Mine seems to be working right.

Had to do the F5 thing a couple times after deleting stuff and now it works but the font size seems very large overall.

can you take a Screenshot?

We need to get the caching issue figured out.  I am guessing we have too many caching chiefs and not enough caching indians( too many apps trying to take control)

Cleared cache on my puter and did f5 thing and it works for me now too. had to paly around trying to find where the new posts were and found this otherwise I would still think the site was still down.

Yea you need to refresh with cntrl + f5 only at this point.

Mobile uses the desktop view. There is no longer a need to switch back and forth. They are both one in the same now.

It's called a responsive theme. It response automatically to what ever device your using at the time and conforms to the device limitations. So if you use a phone it will understand the viewport size and size automatically. Then switch to desktop then it resizes again automatically.

Last night I laid in bed talking to good ol' Dripley (David Ripley) and had my tablet with me. I continued to tinker with the site on the tablet verifying function and user friendliness so far so good. I'm working on improving everything but there is only so much I can get done in a day.

Like today I've got two 12V Dodge's sitting in the yard one got a fresh set of +50HP injectors to replace the +150HP injectors that were overly lopey, smokey, and stall happy. Transmission kickdown cable wasn't even installed. Then come to find out the previous shop forgot to put 2 bolts back in the manifold plate. There is a laundry list on this one that need to be dealt with.

The other 12V needed to have the tubing to the boost gauge re-ran after the mice ate it. So I'm busy turning wrench through the day. The owner is get ready to leave for Mexico with the truck so he wants my personal touch like last year so he's not having issues in Mexico.

Then get interrupted by a broke down RV that blew the A/C compressor pulley and I just spent nearly a hour running back and forth getting information, pictures, numbers etc trying to identify this compressor. No you couldn't just look up in a book it was a custom A/C system by Bounder on a Ford Chassis. Very rare compressor and found one in Washington be here by morning! So back to turning wrench and running the highway.
