I am looking for pictures and ideas of where to mount switches in my truck. I am going to have to build my own cubby hole mount for my high idle switch. I am mounting 3 rocker switches below the CD player. I am going to need about 6 more mounting spots for other switches...

Pictures will be of great help thanks.

No I just got your high idle switch a week ago but my truck isn't programmed for it. I will be making a cubby hole mount for it. But I plan to add an air compressor, front locker, amber work lights, ect. And was wondering what some people have done far as mounting switches. I have some ideas, but not sure how any of them will work..

I think you'd be hard pressed to fit more then maybe 2 extra switches in the cubby hole along with the high idle switch. The lock panel is a popular choice, or to the right of the headlight switch or left of the HVAC switches.

Yeah I was thinking about mounting some in the garage door opener door, or in one of the center vents. Even thought about getting one of those dash edge CTS holders and mounting some in there. I plan to add quite a bit. But I want it to look good and not just thrown in there.

Google image aux switches and a lot will come up. I'm pretty sure there's some old threads on CF concerning this very issue and people have gotten pretty extravagant with switches.

I like rocker type switches. I added two in the panel Dripley was talking about under the column. One is for the VP Cooler blower fan and the other is to charge the camper batteries after the grid heater draw is charged back up in the truck batteries.

I've got 3 rocker switches in my overhead console where the trip computer would of been.

Ditto here. I could have probably fit four but wasnt thinking ahead. If I was ever needing more I would probably add some in the garage door opener button area.
