Mods that I have that benefit my 2nd gen...

Gauges

 Fuel pressure with led light

Egt 

Trans

 

Fuel system half inch, air dog set at 19 psi

Deep dish trans pan

 

For the future...

Latest mod to wiring (Not sure of name)

Trans rebuilt (this summer?)

Going to check/fix killer dowel pin

Pull out dent mom in law gave me.

Towing mirrors

 

What are your bulletproof mods?

    Oh... I can't resist...   Dripley even got a built-in trough for routing the chicken grease to the fuel tank. Biodiesel anyone?

    Dripley forgot the chicken roticerie over his exhaust manifold. Even got a 'Chicken Done' gauge on the dash.

    Because my 3rd gens all had injector problems.  I blew quite a few motors after an injector or two got stuck open.  My 4th gens have been far more reliable.

 sorry to keep bugging you, but was second gen all stock, did you have bigger injectors, gauges, what was the limit on your egts when towing all that time. Just trying to figure out how to make this thing last even 500K already had to have a machine shop put new valve guides in at 156k which is sad. I know a lot of your miles are highway but still a lot of them are also towing. 

Plus if you don't mind I wouldn't mind seeing a few pictures of some big boats you towed behind your 2nd gen if you have any, I've seen one on this site look like by a motel.

    ISSPRO gauges: EGT, Trans Temp, Fuel Pressure, boost

    Airdog 4G lift pump

    Good batteries
