I am on the road today haven’t had a chance to stop and check but my quad is showing 48psi at idle and the quad stays in power level 0

 

Beside a wire could my MAP sensor be dead?

 

When I get home I will look under the hood. 

Could be a few things...

 

Failed boost fooler.

Bad connection on the MAP sensor.

Bad MAP sensor.

More than likely a bad map.   any cel's?  

No CEL. 

 

Stopped to to get fuel and it’s fine now. 

 

Leads me to believe a loose connection. 

Usually if the Boost Fooler circuit fails it fails low, to 0. Double check all the wiring, make sure you don't have a short between the power line and the sensor line, that would make it read 48psi constantly on some of the trucks. If you get a hold of a scanner you should be able to read the MAP sensor reading, then subtract off 11 and that should be what we report for boost pressure. If the MAP reads good, but the Quad reads high, then it might be in the Adrenaline. You can double check with the MAP adapter removed and the factory harness plugged in for good measure. 

 

Did see that my wiretap wire had come out and was laying against the injection pump. Reconnected that and everything else looked good. 

Well, I hope that fixes it for you. I've never heard of a loose wiretap causing the boost to read high, but I guess it could be possible. 

Well it started doing it again intermediately. The only way I can get the truck to move is the take the boost defueling off or sometime when I shut the truck down and start it again it goes away. 

 

I will unhook the Adrenaline and drive then report back.

you have to have some kind of short that is happening on the map wiring.   

There is some kind of short happening somewhere. It could be anywhere from in the ECU, to in the MAP sensor and anywhere in between. As the iQuad app is reporting 50psi, its probably closer to the MAP sensor itself, in the MAP adapter, int he main harness, or on the Adrenaline itself. 

I guess the easiest would be to check the quad harness first for resistance?

 

Also my adrenaline should have let me choose a power level because I was past my warmup temperature. right?

You can easily check the harness for a short or even a resistive short. That is a good place to start as any. 

Once passed warm-up mode temperatures you should be able to change the power level as long as you aren't in a backdown. If you are backed down to 0 because you have a backdown set that isn't going away, then you will probably not be able to change power levels.

I had the defueling turned off for boost pressure. 

 

I will check the harness.  

Have you checked your alternator for AC noise? That can cause all sorts of gremlins in the system. 

It has been a couple of months since I have. 

Might try look at both...

Was going to send the quad back tomorrow but now that is has thrown these codes I am not sure if it is the quad. 

 

Map sensor and apps?

Sounds like something is going on with your 5-volt Loop

Simple... 

 

Unhook the Quadzilla. Now turn your key on reset all codes. Double check your all cleared. Now fire up go for a good 10-15 mile test drive. Check the codes again. 

 

If the codes are still gone then the Quadzilla has issues on the boost fooler.

If the codes return the MAP sensor and/or wiring on the truck is at fault.

Reset codes drove to a job this morning and nothing. 

 

I just unhooked the quad and will drive it a couple of days and see if the code come back. 

Just an update. I have been driving my truck without issue for the last couple of days. I have sent my quad back to be checked out.
