So I just ordered a quadzilla iquad and my question is should I start with a daily tune that I can download from here or just make my own? I won't be using the wire tap so do I need to set the wire tap values to 0 or just leave them alone. Thanks for any help. Also got a fass coming too.

  • haha no worries, the beauty of the quad is being info on what works and how things work

  • yep canbus fuel.     Fueling you really can't hurt anything on stock injectors.  you could run %150 of stock from 0 psi to 30 psi and be just fine.  I call it the S03 tune lol   as for

  • sounds good.   I never ran the New tuning on a stock injector truck so I dont have a great grasp on how much fuel you can throw at it .   easy enough to find out, just go WOT from a stop, if you

Saved it in my book marks. I am really thankful for you making that!  I am a little scared of the timing stuff to be honest. The fueling not at all. I'll apply the daily tune from the download files in a day or two.

My Turbo timer in winter is set to 300 in winter and 350 in summer. This may be a little bit higher then other people setting.

high idle done great this morning however when I left work I let it warm up to about 100° got to the stop light and with it in drive foot on the brake ( thankfully) high idle kicked on again. Not good! Is there something wrong or something I can turn off?  Few more questions. Sorry if the questions are probably simple but I haven't seen the answer or remember seeing it.  The on the fly power can I change tunes going down the road or do I need to be stopped and in park? Same for power level how should I do that. Also Max transmission slip what does that read and what do I need to look out for with that.

Yea The high idle thing scared the $#!+ Out of me. I got auto selected in the options as well.

Might be software bug. Not sure. Doesnct make sense to start high idle while in gear. I know on manual there is no sense of gear but you can clutch into gear soon as it rolls the high idle dies.

Yea I just held the brake and touched the fuel and it dropped back.  Wasn't prepared for it.

you canchange levels on the fly and also tunes on the fly, but dont change tunes with a heavy throttle for common sense reasons.

As for high idle.  Late trucks dont send brake signals to the quad so it is hard to know when you are idle vs stopped at a light. autos have the issue for 01 /02 trucks. I prefer a longer idle delay or you can blip the throttle to trigger the timer to restart

slip is a calc of perfect world input rpm vs mph based on tire size, gearing, and so forth.  IT isn't perfect

I kinda figured the on the fly was like that but I wanted to be sure. I made sure I was out of it and coasting along when I switched power levels today.  The idel delay is a great idea. I got an 02 so that explains that!    If the trans slip reads high at any time is that something to take note of or not really?

not really.  I use it to tell me when lockup happens that's about it.

when the TC is unlocked it should be high as the input rpm of the engine is higher than the outputted rpm when you consider gears.

Yes, high idle and automatics with warm-up mode is a bit of an issue. It is something that you will either need to adjust the delay for or you will need to make sure that your truck is warmed up before you start driving.

These guys here are the best. I'm so grateful for every post that they help with.

They are a great help for sure. I was hoping that there was a fix for it. But I'll do some adjustments to it. Thank you!

not a possible thing to fix.  Hence why I like oem high idle better

Yea if I can find that number to take to the dealer I think I'll have it flashed on. Didn't feel to good with that today.

Or find a member to borrow a Smarty or rent one from DAP.
