So last week I installed a set of 7x10 injectors.  I am thoroughly impressed with them but they make me nervous with my stock HY35.  I'm traveling for work right now and happened on a good deal on an HX35 off another 01.  I scooped it up because of the price.  No shaft play and looks pretty good.  From what I've read this should be a direct swap for the HY.  Is there anything else I may need?  I'm planning on hauling my fifth wheel back home Friday and may try to install in the hotel parking deck.  I'm sure they will love that!  The HX should have lower EGT's than the HY correct?

HE351 is just about the same as my HX35/40 Hybrid.

he351cw 60mm is the same wheel (or its previous part #) is most often used to build 35/40

I always thought the 341 was the same specs as the HY35, just with a 3rd gen style cover.

Digging up my old Post because I never finished it.

 

I installed the new compressor wheel but it turns out the shaft was also bent.  

 

Ordered a new shaft and put it all together and it runs great.  Definitely dropped my EGT's.

 

The other day I was browsing Amazon warehouse deals and bought a Wicked Wheel 2 for 30 bucks!  I know that these things don't do much for our trucks but I bought it because of how cheap it was.  It had been returned by someone but never installed.

 

I installed it this morning and cannot tell any difference at all.  If anything it spools slightly slower than it did before.  Oh well it was cheap!
