If you're talking about inside the dash that goes to the stereo itself, all I did is bought an adapter from Walmart that plugs right in factory stereo plug.

I did this a couple of years ago to my truck.  i put aftermarket speakers in and it is fairly easy.  I will try to dig up the post and you can see the pictures how I connected everything.

Here is the post that I made with pictures.  It is pretty straight forward.  I did make a mistake and left my pillar tweeters out on my first attempt.  I did have to go back in and rework that but that is mentioned in the post.  Hopefully this helps.

I actually left the amps in place zip tied them to the doors and bolted new speakers in

I now see what you were talking about

I also left the amps in place. I drilled a tiny hole in the body of the new speakers and screwed the amp to it and plugged them up. I hate cutting and splicing wires.

the amp sits under the dash and you can hear the relay click on when you turn the stereo on. what are on the speakers are low pass and high pass filters.

just the the adapter from walmart $8 and you are good

I deleted the Infinity sound from my 01 about 5 years ago. It was rather painless. I spliced 4 wires in each front door and threw away the amps. I then installed Pioneer D-series Basalt speakers in all 4 doors and installed some frequency blockers to retain the Infinity tweeters in the pillars. I had a Pioneer head unit that sounded awesome but that bit the dust a few months ago. So now I got my cheap JVC backup installed.

Here's a little sound sample at half volume. The cell phone does not do justice.
