So after I did my head gasket and installed ARP studs I have a valve cover leak on the back of the head.  I've heard about having to clearance the valve cover for the studs but I can't see where it is hitting.  Anyone done this before?  I bottom tapped the holes so I didn't think it was an issue 

I had to trim the back cover to make it fit.  Wasn't much, but it needed to be done.

Where exactly did you have to trim it?

I don't believe I had any issues with my studs, but they are not arp. How much do arp stick out.

Mine look very similar.  No idea why it's not seating.

Where the stud sticks up I had to trim a touch on the cover.  it was maybe 1/32"

Interesting. My ARP’s fit with no issues.
