I thought I would pass on some info for everyone! I had been talking to Mike "mopar1973man" about adding the scangauge II to my truck, but I am already using the OBDII port to run my Edge Attitude with Juice CTS! Mike an I messaged eachother back and forth, while Mike came up with a feasible idea of hard wiring another OBDII port into the truck, but with unknown an unforseeable issues! I called Scangauge and talked to a lady that was very helpful, explained to her that I needed the OBDII port to run my edge, but I also wanted to run their ScanGaugeII, after a few minutes on hold, she came back with the info on a site that has a "Y" adapter giving you the option of running to ports at once! I ordered the "Y" adapter and the ScanGauge II and will let you know how well it works out! How good does it work as a scanner? I got a smarty that is baic in telling me codes. Is this closer to a DRBII tool? I like it and wnat one and if this even fits the drb tool it is an extra +.

It's little more of a scan tool than the Smarty. Other than being able to read PID's. In fact I can't even reset codes on my 05 with the SG, which they claim is common for some Dodge platforms. I have a Y cable in the garage I ordered to run with my Smarty Jr PoD function, but no dice the SJR didn't like the split OBDII signal.

I am thinking of picking up an OBDII code reader. Right now I need to reset codes in the Cirrus. The prices are all over... from $20 to several hundred. I am very budget minded but buying junk is a bad investment too. I do not plan to leave it on one vehicle (though that might change)... but we have 01 Dodge/CTD, 97 Chrysler Cirrus, 02 Subaru right now.Have any of you guys tried the less costly units & your opinions & experiences good & bad.Many Thanks!!

I would get a scan gauge II and an extra cable. Wire one cable into the rig you use most and use the second cable for scanning other rigs. It at least lets you get a little more out of your money than something that sits on the shelf most of the time.
