just wanted to say hi. great site, just starting to get into diesel. i have read alot of the threads,so much info to take in. had a few questions i have read about the 2 cycle oil in the fuel, is it ok to add it with other addittives. and my power steering just started to whin when its cold in the morning. its starting to get in to the 20s and teens here. hope its ok to ask here just new to this stuff.

just running amsoil diesel concentrate

Run one or the other but don't mix additives...

2 Cycle Oil tend to go against most other additives and don't mix well... 2 cycle oil is a cetane booster, BTU increaser. Where other additives are cetane increaser and BTU reducer...

Take a look at the ASTM testing labs grade scale and you'll see anytime you increase cetane the BTU's are reduced. Also point of reference is unleaded gasoline is about 120K BTU's...
