Thanks for the input, im probably gonna get a new one especially since there aren't many used ones for sale.

They come on for sale in cf every week or so. Hot unlock is worth the $50 of you get it new ... Else it's 100 I like mine ... Just depends how often you put your foot down ...,

Before mine died, I really liked it to. The only problem is I never drove without the hot unlock so I dont really know what its like.

If you are really looking for fueling, then i have read the TST comp is much stronger, i have the edge comp, and do not think it is close to 120 extra hp on level 5. It pulls hard, but most people run it maxed out, so that means we want more. I am looking for something that will make me say "wow i gotta turn that down " you know what i mean. I switched out my turbo from a hy to a hx, and that did make it come to life quite a bit, smoke down low if you lug it, but its a pretty clean box. Just depends on what you are looking for i guess.

I ran the edge comp and the tst comp. The tst felt way stronger but I had a timing box too.

Come to Idaho in the winter time and you'll be glad Edge has defuel modes...

Doesn't the tst have several settings also? Just was inquiring, because i still have my edge ez, and i have heard that the tst and ez is a great combo.

Yes, there is different power levels. If you have an ez I would get the tst pm3, I would like to try one someday.

So I have been meaning to ask this. All the different levels and sub levels on the comp. What exactly are you changing when you change them? What does each one do and how much performence do you get out of each one?Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2

[*]

Level 0: Stock

Level 1: 40 Horsepower - 150 Foot Pounds of Torque

Level 2: 60 Horsepower - 200 Foot Pounds of Torque

Level 3: 80 Horsepower - 250 Foot Pounds of Torque

Level 4: 100 Horsepower - 300 Foot Pounds of Torque

Level 5: 120 Horsepower - 350 Foot Pounds of Torque

each of those levels have a sub level with 5 settings, and those control how much low boost fuel. check out edge website, they have a full write up

and those control how much low boost fuel.

Thanks for the clear up. Just one more quick question. What is low boost fuel? what does it mean?

Low boost fuel means the amount of fuel delivered prior to the truck making any boost at all. Unless you have injectors to provide some fuel prior to boost it would be a bad idea to ever turn that down below 5 IMO. Each mark down from that is a percentage of full fuel. So in essence your taking away fuel that could be protecting your VP44 from death. The skinny pedal is a much better way to prevent smoke, and for that matter, this box doesn't smoke much anyway. There are specific numbers for the percentage I just didn't look them up.

Ok. So, since I have 100hp injectors, I could be safe to turn it down then? Would that possibly save me some fuel? Thank you for letting me pick your brains so much lol. Its just been nice to have so much :smart: in one place. If you get tired of my questions just lemme know

Yes, you could turn it down if you wanted to. The main thing is just knowing that your providing enough fuel to the VP44 to keep it safe. The principle behind the adjustment factor is for those that have other fuel adders in their system to be able to dial out some of the smoke pre boost. The edge does pre boost control until the snail reaches 10lbs of boost. It then reverts back to normal fuel operation (100%) past that. As long as you know your VP44 is receiving 14lbs or more of fuel pressure (at least most of the time anyway.) I think you could play with the options and see what works best. Then let me know because I think I am going to attempt to locate some injectors myself soon. Good luck
