It's a Yukon (same thing just a little shorter wheelbase. Getting the parts to fit in the truck was a breeze, getting them all to play nice has been a chore. I'm not even a mechanic so I just research the crap out of everything and rely on people I trust to give me good info. I've looked far and wide and haven't found anything close to like it and I'm damn proud of that. Now if I can just get everything wrapped up by winter so I don't have to ride the motorcycle in the ice. I do have proof that an Allison 5 speed can be very easily converted to a 6 speed.?
  2. Still to this day I can get @MoparMom complaining rather quickly with the A/C. Turn it on MAX A/C high fan and get rolling by the time I reach Payette, ID from Ontario, OR I've got to turn it down. Typically it will frost up the compressor and lines just a bit. Even time I stop to eat and park near a window I can see water dripping in the front of the truck not the HVAC drain. I should put a gauge on mine and check the pressures. Been a long while since I did that...
  3. Oh yes. Hence the end of procrastination on fixing mine.

I still have the low warning light that I bought from BCD in a bag. Sounded like a good idea at the time until I learned about the importance of minimum pressure. I believe the BDP comes on at 5 psi.

This is a very patient place. I have learned a lot here due to that.
  6. So now your going to be 'Exhausted' at days end Sorry...... don't know what got into me....
  7. Killer, same tires came with 01 I bought. Really like them. So far wear is good and gotten a couple compliments. Some folks seem to notice good tires for some reason.
  8. That's not good. Wait til you get a sharp object shoved up between both tires and have a double flat. It could be as simple as a small stone. Rather common failure out here. The puppies do this mod and then attempt to go up in the back country for firewood. Typically find them coming home on 3 wheels in the rear. Even worse they don't have a matching spare to what is installed. There is a reason for the gap between the wheel if the rub or touch this is trouble waiting to happen.
  9. I found when checking mine 2001 dodge with shifting issues. I cleaned all the common grounds and cleaned battery terminals as every one has and did the A/C out voltage etc but everything checked good. Then I check but found most problems are on the passenger side battery two grey plugs connectors going to the body grounds take them apart and clean them up really good. Then I checked the alternator ground and found it reading .022 which was bad so I did the same check to the block and got .005 which showed the bracket was not grounding the alternator. This video has a great check out for checking grounds to alternator case and body grounds fixed my problems for over a year now. Don't forget the dielectric grease on the bolts on the alternator bolts to the case.
  10. Still this where I don't get it. You are claiming your HP number and comparing to these other engine specs as a guideline for exhaust flow. (around 900 cfm roughly speaking) Ok... I got that... But now when I look up the muffler you plan on running it capable flow rate 1431 to 3100 cfm (at 1-3" Hg backpressure). I just can't see you getting that attenuation out of that muffler being when you read the section on back pressure. So you increase the tube size inside the muffler area backpressure will be nil. Out of the 3 types, I'm assuming the 3rd is the truest that you are going after. Because the first two types won't work because of the oversized tube inside the muffler. But as you see the second picture showing higher back pressure give better attenuation but in your case there is going be very little if any. So this is where my confusion is.
  11. My truck was only doing it when it was humid out. Tested the alternator and it came out good, so I cleaned the battery terminals and added dielectric grease to the plugs. Turns out the passenger battery neg lead was causing the issue. Cleaned it up greased and now I don't have anymore lockup issues. testing the alternator is ALWAYS step 1.
