  1. Thanks for the info i got down and looked and there is fluid leaking from both the master and slave clyinder's so gonna order the parts from rockauto in the am i guess. Thanks again will fill ya'll in on the replacement when through.
  2. Not sure if stock or not original owner was unavaliable for info when i bought it and by line you mean the Rubber line to the dslave cylinder still newish to Hydrolic manuals transmission's.
  3. Alright only a day before i take my big Camper on her first maiden voyage(with us that is). While in town cashing my check and getting Diesel $100 worth... I felt the clutch pedal was sponge like and pushed to easy compared to normal. shifted the same ran the same. Till i got home pulled in to the drive and started to back up but couldn't get it to go back in gear. Shut the truck off put it in first pushed the clutch in fired the truck back up. Let out the clutch truck rolled forward as normal then stoped repressred the clutch and wouldn't go back in any gear. Let the truck sit and cool for 3 hour's came back and it's back to normal now. Called a trans shop talked to him he say's it deff not the clutch or the presure plate he is sure either the fluid is weak or it has air in the line or just a bad slave clyinder. But thought i'd run it by ya'll before i pull my big camper in a few day's. on a side note the fluid in the clutch resivor on the firewall is orignial over 185k on it might need to change it. But will await ya'lls input thanks again.

  5. Finally got a day off work to start on cleaning out the inside of the trailer. Myself, My Dad, Mom and grandmother cleaned from top to bottom. It took us 3 and a half hour's but, it was worth it look's so clean smell's alot better too. You don't really notice it's size till you go to cleaning it now tomorrow we start on the out side gotta find a really tall ladder first Also got an adapter to plug to my house so i could check all the thing's in the trailer to buy it with no idea if anything worked just there word i'm happy to say everything but one light work's so far and the 2 A/C will freeze you to death And 2 furnace's will run you out of the camper so all in all well worth the $7999 i paid for it
  6. I watched the duramax overheating video why anyone who would drive a truck at 260F for that lenght of time is beyond me what was he thinking...I mean trying to keep up with a Dodge cummins. An the truck is 244.1 inche's acourding to dodge and add like 5.9 inche's for the ranch hand bumper's so 21.7 ft but the trailer is around 5ft into the bed+/- and the camper is 39'ft11in so say 40ft 40ft(Trailer)+18.3ft(Truck)=58.3ft+/-Total The Curb weight of the truck is 6,178+ the 400+/- (total front and rear RH bumper's) I weight about 295 as well as the extra tool's and other item's so 125pd's+/- and the trailer's loaded weight is 16,600pd's 6,178+400+295+125+16,600=23,598pd's+/- but these are just estimate's and for the ford stuff i agree with you most camper's i see have either a ford or chevy pulling them but out of the 40 or so farm's near me 4 use ford's and 1 use chevy's cause they go by my house all day and yes i sit on my porch in a rocker and count them - - - Updated - - - Sorry forgot the pic's i haven't had the chance to get pic's from the inside as i haven't got alot cleaned yet it's a big trailer lol hear are the dealer took photo's
  7. Thank's everyone i meant to measure it today to know what lot to get when going to the RV park. And between the 4 wheel brake's on the camper with my trailer brake box in the truck. I had to be careful cause it would flat pull the truck back when downshifting the truck to stop at a redlight. I had to turn down the controler from 6.5 to 3.5 before i could safely stop. When I bought the trailer the dealer had it hooked to his 2003.5 Ford 350 and it was squated bad it broke one of his bumpstop's off and slighty bent a leaf spring in the process. When i seen that i was worried about mine but, those ford leaf springs are punny compared to our dodge leaf spring's. And he said at one point it took a drop to 2 gear to make it to the top of a hill not really much of a hill but it was a 6.0 so i know why But the truck sit's perfect on the truck and pulls like a dream well in the 35ish mile drive home. I do belive a programmer will be in my future for a little more power it did great doing 55mph(it's been afew day's Idon't remember exactly but I think these were the number's) i was runing about 2100 RPM's at 800F egt's and 21 psi boost only had to hit 4th one time and that was going up a long slighty winding 3 mile hill coming home from the dealer.
  8. Thanks War Eagle and Killer223 for the complement's and there were 3 different fifthwheel trailer's at the dealership with 3 different fifthwheel to gooseneck adapter's 2 had the 15' tall one's with one having 4 and one having 5, 1/2 in' bolt's holding it to the fifthwheel. But the one I bought was 12 inch tall and had a total of 12 1 inch grade 8 bolt's with lk. washer's and lock nut's so if they brake then that's my last worry. I just don't have faith in those fifth wheel hitche's they look so weak and on that little nut not to mention that huge price for the one i need. I have the Reese fifth wheel rail's with the Reese gooseneck plate mounted to it rated at 26k and the Bull dog adapter is rated at 30k so i hope that will work till i break down and shell out $1,500 for a fifth wheel hitch - - - Updated - - - Update Well after a long day and alot of running around and getting the run around i finally got her home. Pulled like a dream and was surprised that it felt the same towing this as my 32ft bumper pull. Now i just gotta Vacum, wash, wax and detail it got some minor maintence aswell. But i couldn't be happier
  9. Just speaking out of experience and hope no one has to go through this but, we have a 16ft bumper pull car trailer that had a front tire that had began to dry wrought so we threw on a spare set of 215/75/16 and left the 235/75/16 on the back and loaded my mom's 2001 dodge carvan on it total weight maybe 4,000 pd's not sure but after only 15 or so mile's we had to pull over because the bearing's were shot in the rear axel and nearly blew out the rear wheel's which was to hot to touch. Cause they were carrying a majority of the weight even if the tire's are both on the ground does not mean the load is equally on each tire and we alway's keep everything greased and have Bearing buddie's on all 7 of our trailer's. Just my opinion and it sucks to be on the road changing the bearing's when 18 wheeler's are wizing by lol I been there
  10. I myself wouldn't mix size's even 1in is a huge difference your putting more weight on the 2 older tire's, more presure on your bearing's, and more presure on your suspension. Even if they hold more air the height difference is still there. Now if you not going far like a few mile's and not going interstate speed and not have her loaded down. Then you'd be ok I just don't like mixing size's
  11. Well in the Morning I go to pick up my New to me 1998 Newmar Moutain Air 39 BRSK. I spent the last 5 year's serching all around the web looking for my Dream Rv for a understandable price. When yesterday i found it and today bought it. It took a lot of sweet talking to the bank loan officer due to it's age. But i did, it's a 40Ft fiffthwheel with a gooseneck adapter on the hitch it's a Dual Tandem yes Dual axel Dual wheel never seen another one like this. It's total weight is on the heavy side I know. The wet weight is 16,000pds. I have towed more then that on this truck but, i knew it was back there and i have no plan's with this truck to leave the 50 mile area of my 3 local lake's. We have another camper a 32ft bumper pull that we bought recently with the hope's of taking my parent's, great aunt, and my grandparent's and spending all the time together we could. But before we were able to take the camper and them out I lost my grandfather due to his quick decline in health......... So we are trying to fit 8 people into our current camper just to get to spend those few day's i have left with them. Thus i bought this to fill the void and give them the very best i could afford.. Hope ya'll like it
  12. I would suggest a 07 Dodge Mega cab the one with the last 5.9 cummin's there's nothing like a Mega cab they dwarf any other cab and will spoil you. My last truck was a 06 dodge 5.9 cummins mega cab had awesome power was stright piped, no emmison crap, and had 360k on it and the injector's were just starting to go bad before i got it it was used to tow Houseboat's from the dealer to the lot's i loved it and would still have it if not for a friggin little geo metro ran under me and lifted the motor into the cab with me... Gone but never be forgotten...
  13. Hmm seem's mine is about the same as everyone else before i junked my Bad Bank's Ottomind i got 14 mpg avg now i get 16.9-17.5 with the truck in my sig but now it only smoke's on start up i miss rolling coal on tailgater's:ashamed: Gonna get a smarty soon .... well after i find $699 laying around.
  14. Just thought i'd update the info on this the ins company totaled the truck out. He didn't ask for a buy back as i figured he wouldn't. which was ok it was towed over 150 mile's buy the wrecker to the ins yard with the rear end full of water. The ins company started the truck up on the lot ran for a min then locked up due to the leftover water still in the engine...:banghead: So i said forget it. So today my boss bought a replacement truck a 98.5 Dodge 3500 24 val extcab LB 4x4 auto with 170k mile's. He bought the truck sight unseen from Cincinatii Ohio..... Had it delivered to work today... And needless to say a waste of $9,900+ tax title and $500 delivery... In the 5 minute's i took to look the truck over. The front and rear rearend seals are bad losing fluid bad, Water pump fan has about of 3/4 inch of play front to back, Oil all over the motor, power steering pump's leaking, tranny leaking, oil pan leaking, Rust from top to bottom, Bad frame rail rust, Goosneck plate nearly rusted into, all the front end part's wore out, all the brake line's nealy rusted through and only a few drop's of brake fluid in the resivour, and 4 quart's low on oil exhaust about to fall off... Started the truck up starter nearly gone, need's batterie's, drove it a few feet feel's as if tranny is on it's way out as well... At this point i'm certain he is just to cheap a person lol
  15. I look forward to giving the truck and motor a try if i can get my current truck paid off . I'm looking for a daily driver i can still pull my smaller trailer's with and still get my diesel fix . And since this motor is 10yr's old i belive the bug's should be all but gone. As far as the Ford Ecoboost goes a former Boss of my Boss Has one and though he won't own up to it he regret's buying it ever time he drive's it. When i asked why he bought it over a diesel He state's "that diesel's are loud, dirty, and really bad on the enviroment." When i called BS on that and showed him how wrong he was on every level to a point. I told him for casual hauling to decent load's to find a nice 2500 dodge cummin's (cause the biggest thing he pulled was a grasshopper mower) to which he said that Dodge's are a "Blue collar man's truck and beneth him to drive one that he find's Ford's or GMC's to be a wealthy man's truck and more to his standing" Even if they are underpower, get less fuel milage, and tow far less. But it's his money not mine so I may try to get this truck if it has the power i hope it does.
  16. No the truck was drove down to a clearing were the tree's had been dozed to make a river bottom pasture. He turned around in the mud and leave's got the truck hung and just left it there for it to dry up. I offered to go pull him out with my truck or his 4wd tractor but he wasn't worried about. then after 2 week's and almost a week stright of rain the river rose up past the flood stage and covered the truck for about 24hr's. The ins company sent out a big peterbuilt semi tow truck after the water had gone down they took pic's and to the truck looked great really couldn't tell it had been under water. And on top of that he just left the key's in the igniton(Off but in it).Tow truck driver opened the door to take it out of gear and the Door buzzer went off...and th dome light came on i was amazed they still worked... so after the attached the tow cable and pulled the truck all the way up out of the pasture ....BOOM to cable snaps truck take's off down the hill over a small bluff samck dab into a tree less then afoot away from the river...now they have to get the tow cable fixed and get a second tow truck to help pull it out and it's been raining all day and will the next two so it's not looking good but keeping my hope's up it really only hurt the fender everything else is still good.
  17. Just as the title say's my boss took out the work truck a 1997 dodge 3500 4x4 5spd. Down to the river after work 2 week's ago it had been raining for day's and has rained almost every day since. Needless to say due to mostly an inabilty to drive a dually on wet ground and laziness. We seen today that the truck had water almost over the cab!!!! So without a doubt the truck is totaled now and should it still stay put and not get washed away in the flood. I have requested to get first dib's on the truck to buy the truck back from the ins company. so i guess my question is how much damage should i expect. I have rebuilt many wrecked vehcile's and i know to stay away from salt water flood truck. But i figure the truck will only be under water for about 2 day's of fresh water. Givin' the truck is a 12 valve and has little electronic's. What are the odd's the truck as a whole other then the good body part's could be saved? the body was perfect had no dent's nearly no ding's or scratch's. And the truck had 69,xxx original mile's!!! I felt sick when i heard that due to laziness the truck could be destroyed now. But i pray the truck stay's strong and dosen't float away. I know that i have to let the truck dry out for a few day's and drain all the fluid's out of everything and go through everything with a fine tooth comb but at this point all i can do is sit and pray she can hold her ground.
  18. Thank's for the info mr.mindless i found a 2012 dodge cummin's for a great price with good mile's and was hesitant to go look at it till i knew if the turbo was worth the noise compared to the old school turbo's. Might have to go drive it to get all the info and decide then thank's again
  19. So today myself and my father was at a diesel station filling up the truck in my sig when a 2013 dodge CC Dually cummins 6spd was coming down the road gearing down the truck obviously was stright piped. Truck sounded great and looked amazing till that horrible VGT-turbo jet sound blared out the exhaust pipe. My dad thought the brake's were squealing on it till i told him about the VGT's ( Man is out of his element with diesel's lol Gasser through and through). In his word's "it sounded like a powderchoke or Duralax not like a Cummin's and i won't buy one if they gotta sound like that mess." So i have it in my plan's to buy a used 2013 next year but if that is what they will sound like it will detour me back to getting a second 2nd gen Cummin's. So is the VGT a good idea for towing/Hauling if you own one is it that bad in the cab and is it possible to replace the turbo with a non-VGT turbo thanks all look forward to your replies
  20. Can't speak for everyone but if your not gonna need the bed space for supplie's(Food, Cooler's, etc.) I would just put it in the truck. The rzr's i've seen are little compared the the 2 or 3 seat 4x4/6x6's one's so should fit good In the truck bed that's alot less worry. Plus 2 less wheel's to blow out, 2 less Bearing's to fail, etc. (I think of every way possible something could go wrong lol) plus as you said it will use less fuel not alot less that trailer wouldn't put really any drag on the truck and also a trailer that small in most of my truck's i can't see it till i turn sharp but in my opinion truck bed hope this help's and have a safe and fun trip
  21. Alrighty then woke up this morning at daybreak popped the hood and removed the Bank's Ottomind from my truck. Retaped all the place's and zip tied all the other wire's back up fired the truck up and drove it all day and after 5 trip's to day around 100 mile's+/- (Hope i don't jinx myself)But, the issue seems to be resolved truck is back to full power if not a little more, no more excess smoke, Quiter at idle aswell, and the TSB code's are gone(removed them not returned) the truck drive's like i remember it did. Hope this is done Wanted to thank everyone who helped and offered advice really helped me to solve this issue Now the real issue at hand Edge or Smarty hmmmm lol
  22. I went out earlier and did a reset on the APPS....no luck I also contacted Bank's through there facebook to which they advised me to "chuck the ottomind sound's like it is going bad" So tomorrow after work i'm gonna remove the ottomind and pray that it fix's the problem. If not i'm gonna replace the MAP sensor was told that it could be bad then go from there... Thanks for the info Dripley it's much appricated.
  23. Yeah My Apalogie's what ya'll are saying is true it's not a total dead Pedal it's a 75% dieing pedal at idle it rev's normal full pedal. In all 6 gear's I have about half-an-inch of pedal till it goes dead can floor it no rpm change, no boost increase, fuel pressure hold's 14-15pd's. I Can press the clutch in and it rev's as it should boost climb's EGT's rise and Fuel PSI drop's to 14 if i hammer it... then let off the clutch and poof back to 25% pedal. Also it may not only be the A/C causing this every time i have had the issue i was running the A/C but, I remember there was water present at every occurance last three time's i had the A/C on due to me washing the truck and was out drying it off or going to eat. Today with the A/C never begin engaged it has rained all day and last night same problem no pedal. I wonder if where the previous owner tapped the APPS wire for the Bank's ottomind programmer if moisture is getting in there and causing an issue..... I want to say thank's so far for the great help we will getter figured out.
  24. Yeah i'm at a total loss as well but it is the reason for the dead pedal. Yesterday I took my Family out to eat went on a 100 mile round trip and ran the A/C on MAX the whole way there had a dead pedal the whole way. On return ran the A/C for 5 min's dead pedal the whole time turned the A/C off and rollled down the window's second's later full pedal all the way home. Then today left for town ran the A/C for 5 min's till rain blew off dead pedal from the start a few secs after i turned off the A/C off and rolled the window's down again full pedal and no more issue's. There was no other item's on no radio, no running light's, nothing but A/C. But i will check the battery Cable's tommorrow. Thanks for the reply i know well get this nipped in the bud soon enough
  25. Ok i've posted issue's with a off and on "dead Pedal" issue on this forum but i finally found the reason why after a few test run's. After all the test i have disscovered that any time i run my A/C on any setting my pedal goes dead good fuel pressure and so on just a dead pedal till i turn off the A/C. I can't even imagine why those two item's would even be tied together so any idea's why this is happening??? Thank's look forward to your anwser's
