  1. Back to injector talk, just popped in some DAP +60 HP injectors last night...so far so good! Even without a box or programmer...yet, what an upgrade! I was able to light up the tires, quieter idle, smoother idle and acceleration and she pulls a lot harder now. Faster than my old 2500 hemi! As soon as my limited member status is over I'll post some pics of the new DAPs vs my stock gunked up injectors...just over 208k on the old girl.
  2. I am kind of new to the diesel world...so without a box/programmer the vp44 will not supply all the wanted fuel to say a +50 hp or greater injector?
  3. Truck runs so much smoother with the fuel boss and feels more powerful. I don't have gauges...yet...but it's definitely fueled. Again, it just keeps pulling and I even think the shifts are smoother. No more carter worries!
  4. What cajflynn said, i had the same problem and I upgraded to a borg werner governor solenoid and an oem mopar pressure transducer...do a filter change too...or the worst, your tranny is dead. Both parts are combined $150 or less
  5. The vacuum pump/power steering pump are underneath the VP44 or the rear seal on the timing cover (in between the block and backside of the timing cover). Most common leak is the puke bottle, relocate it! then timing cover and front crank seal...I have over 200,000 miles on mine and just did all those reseals and it helped...but my oil pan and vacuum pump are leaking too...all common leaks that can get blown around and dirty up the engine.
  6. Currently I have the carter and new wiring harness (hobbs switch) completely disconnected because it's throwing codes. I'm just running off the fuel boss with no issues. I was just wondering if that set up is ok for the truck, other than not having the automatic switch to the carter pump? Anyone?
  7. Within the next 2 weeks I'll be upgrading injectors and right now i'm debating between rv275s or 50s-75s...I want 75s but after reading about the hy35s and heat, 50s or 60s sound right
  8. It's looking like rv275s are becoming obsolete
  9. I've had my fuel boss for 2 weeks now and I love it! She keeps pulling in the higher rpms where the carter couldn't keep up. I'm chasing some fuel leaks as well and the carter and harness is disconnected otherwise it pops 2 codes. I believe Richard said no prefilter also.
  10. Bosch bodies? And if you don't mind how much? The lowest hp injector on their website seems to be 100...but that's awesome! I want a set of 50s!
