No cruise control
I tried using my cruise control on my way home from work tonight and it set a about 90 km/h. Nothing faster but I could use the accel button to speed it up. Played with it some more and then it wouldn't do anything. The odometer readout showed that it would turn on and off. In the morning I was pulling a trailer so I didn't try it then so I can't remember when the last time I used it. Any ideas?

Edge Comp
I talked to edge today and it's a no-go. Said the map sensor has a different connector and the voltage is different. No mention of a different harness.

Edge Comp
I found a guy with an 02 edge comp for sale. Just wondering if anybody knows if it'd work in my truck. I plan to call edge but thought I'd see if anybody here knew first.

Help
I've got the draw straw too and was planning on putting it in anyway so that part is good. I'll run out and see if I can find a wiring connection. My truck has an aluminum block on the engine where the lift pump would be so I just assumed that it was the pump.

Help
I'm trying to install my airdog 150 and I just discovered that I have an in-tank lift pump so I don't know how to make the wiring connections. Can anybody help me?

My turn for a blown VP44?
I checked my codes and all there is is the companion code P1693. Does that mean that the VP44 will be ok? Thanks to THRacing there's an Airdog 150 coming my way:thumb1:

My turn for a blown VP44?
I know the flow is poor cuz i pushed the pin in on the test port on the back of the filter housing and with the engine just idling the fuel only dribbled out. I will certainly check the fuel lines.

My turn for a blown VP44?
Thanks for all the ideas. I guess I'd be surprised if it was low fuel because I drove a while after it started just to get home and it never got better or worse. Will check for codes and am not driving it any more till I get a lift pump installed.

My turn for a blown VP44?
Today my truck started bucking when I was driving. I know my lift pump was weak but I've been strapped for cash so I haven't changed it yet but now I think I'm paying for it. Just wondering if the bucking is characteristic of a blown VP44? Also when I was driving I noticed that when I curved to the left it really lost power and ran rough but when I curved right it ran much better, any ideas on this?

tc lock/unlock
Did the suncoast fix this morning but it's still doing the gear hunt. No lockup today yet.

tc lock/unlock
No mystery switch and it hasn't ever gone into limp home mode:shrug: ---------- Post added at 04:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 AM ---------- Maybe there's a better thread for this but a new problem has developed. When I have the tranny in 1st gear it seems like it's locked up. It takes lots of power to move and when I release the throttle it stops short like the brakes are on. Also the OD OFF light was on and wouldn't turn off. I turned the engine off and restarted it and the light was off and the lockup was only momentarily a couple times and then it didn't do it any more. Any ideas what might be happening?

tc lock/unlock
Sorry this took so long to get back but I tried a different relay, still does it. And for codes it shows 0753, 1765, and 1693.

tc lock/unlock
I'm not sure if my problem is the same as you guys are talking about but my truck acts up at low speeds. It seems like it shifts between 1st and 2nd or maybe 2nd and 3rd when I'm under really light load like a going slow down a muddy trail (which is what I was doing when I really noticed the problem) This is really annoying and is it hard on the tranny?

Finally got gauges hooked up here is what I have!
So I must have the hy because I have an auto so does that mean I'm hooped for getting more boost when the time comes or what can I do:shrug:

80,000 Miles......No Full Oil Change
Just curious why you change your oil at 10K miles since dorkweed is proving that we don't have to with a bypass filter?

Oil Analysis
Sorry this was from back in February so all evidence is long gone. I can say this that it looked pretty black on the dipstick. ---------- Post added at 06:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:29 PM ----------

Oil Analysis
Yes it does.

Oil Analysis
I finally got my oil analysis back. This is my first one ever so I don't know anything about the numbers on the report. Maybe you guys could help me out with whether these numbers are good bad or somewhere in between. The report says resample at regular interval. It was John Deere Plus 50 (15w40) changed at 10000 kilometers (6210 miles). I've tried posting the report but it didn't work so I'll just write it down here. viscosity------13.3fuel-----------0soot----------5oxidation-----13nitration------9water---------0antifreeze----0 silicone-------10iron-----------30chromium----1aluminum----8copper-------2lead----------2tin------------0nickel--------0silver---------0 molybdenum-129magnesium---25sodium--------15titanium-------0boron----------119potassium-----6calcium--------3083zinc------------1564barium--------0phosphorus---1447

purging air from fuel line
I don't have too much knowledge on this but I do have a wee bit of experience. You just turn the key to the start position long enough for the starter to engage (but don't start the engine) then release it but don't turn it off. This makes the fuel pump stay running so now you can monitor the flow out of your line to see when the air bubbles stop or whatever you are trying to do. Just turn the key off when you want the pump to stop. I have an automatic so I don't know about stepping on the clutch but I'd think you'd have to to get the starter to turn over.

transmission service
I finally got around to doing my tranny oil change and band adjustment. Now the 2-3 shift feels like it is slipping. Do I tighten the band some more or loosen it off? I looked it up on dodgeram.org and it says it could do this but it didn't say whether it was too tight or too loose.

What for exhaust?
if you look close you can see how the pipe comes straight over the back axle then drops down this is just an end view of the muffler bottom view of muffler this is the tail pipe after it has dropped down behind the rear axle tail pipe this one isn't too clear but it's the bottom of the down pipe where it turns to 5" I just bought 90 degree elbows and cut them down to get the right angle for all the bends then welded everything together

What for exhaust?
Just thought I'd let you guys know what I did for my exhaust mod. Bought 5" pipe and a semi truck muffler and built my own system. Nice bark to it and the drone is very minimal:)
