Tuning actually becomes ALOT easier when you get bigger injectors. You can use level 1 and valet mode power to find your starting point for the tune, then build the rest of your tune based on that.

I would leave the min pump tap fuel % at 0 for DD tunes. that setting is really an effort to overcome Torque management on a race tune. Just remember that canbus makesup the meat of your fueling. So the better your canbus fueling is the better your truck will run. The wiretap just adds that little bit on top, think of it as going to 11 on your amp

Si, stock injector trucks will need ~ 1* less cruise timing than I would. Maybe even a bit less than 1* due to my altiutude. I would say cruise timing of ~2* is a good starting point for most stock injector trucks.

haha since you have stock injetors your canbus fueling should start over %100. Go out, build a tune that mike uses. then floor it from a stop. Does it smoke? if so bump canbus fueling down by a % until smoke clears.

I have split the custom tuning into sections to better explain the effect each has on how the truck drives and how much power is put down from electrical fueling. ************************************************************************************************************************************************* Max Power Levels Power Levels : lvl 0 stock | lvl 1 timing | lvl 2 Canbus fuelings (65 hp) | lvl 3 + Wiretap fueling (+120 HP in addition to the 65 hp from CANbus) You can set the minimize power levels to 5 or max to 14. This will give you more or less wiretap levels, Note that no additional power is made by setting max levels higher. Rather setting Max Power Levels higher give you more "steps" of wiretap fueling until the max is reached. Setting Max Pump Stretch higher may reduce total power while increasing Torque under the curve. If you want upper-end power you would not want to set this to the max. Setting timing higher will typically increase MPG when the engine is at a steady RPM at a steady load, IE: highway driving. However, it can be risky to set timing above 7* without the correct mods. Also, Low-end smoke is increased when timing is increased. Timing is NOT scaled based upon power levels, rather is it applied the same on all levels that have timing increase. Timing Scaling: 0-%100 This allows you to set how much timing gets pulled from the timing max number set. You may want more timing down low, but want to pull timing up top. IE: Setting Max timing to 10* but scaling to %50 will give you 10* down low but only %50 of that up top so 5* Setting scaling to %0 would give you 0* up top, while keeping 10* down low. This is scaled so as you get higher more and more is pulled until the %0 is matched. This is not dependent on power lvl rather the placement in the timing map based upon multiple inputs. For the example think of it as pulling more timing based upon scaling in relation to increasing power output. ********************************************************************************************************************************************* Boost compressed air from the turbo. Fueling is directly related to boost, too much fuel for a given boost level will cause smoke, EGT issues, and lower power output. It is important to tune fueling to boost. Boost Scaling: 20-40 psi Allows you to set the point at which fueling is maximized based upon boost levels. Setting this to 20 will give you fuel fueling at 20psi, assuming tps min / and maxes are met. Boost scaling is calculated along with TPS scaling so in order to have %100 of fueling both need to be met. ***************************************************************************************************************************************** As a reminder the custom tuning only alters how the base tune loaded fuels. You cannot fully alter the tuning maps based on custom tuning. Remember that min pump tap % is tied to TPS. If you want to go fast ensure you use the throttle. If you use 25% throttle then you will get no less than 25% of your wiretap min setting. If you use 100 throttle then you get no less than %100 of your wiretap min setting. Also I would guess your trucks canbus starting %should be ~%20 more than my tunes as you have stock injectors and are at sea level. You can throw. A lot of canbus fuel at the truck

personally I would do studs assuming your injectors are not showing signs of age. ( doubtful they are) Studs are always a good idea if you want to ensure the OEM headgasket lives a long long time.

Well using the Quad you can leverage larger injectors well. You end up with a much broader fueling resolution, IE more control. You really should define some specific goals for your truck. HP goals, use goals, Budget goals. I know we all dream about twins and 600 + hp but most of use are more than happy at 300/350 hp lol.

I guess that depends on what your goals are. If you want move than 350 hp then it is injector and turbo time. For me I would run my setup all day long. I absolutely love how my truck drives. I am smoke free put down great power and have no trouble breaking 24 mpg down the highway. I am going to pass emissions this year and likely put 375 + hp down when they do the test lolol.....

Did you change levels at all before starting the truck or did you just apply the tune? This will tell me if the Quad was actually sending any info out. If you had the wrong vehicle profile selected I don't know how the tuning would have applied, but there may be a data mismatch due to this. I would still leave the wiretap disconnected until we get to the bottom of things and I would test for 12v power to the wiretap wire key on engine off if you haven't yet. Did any of the apps wires get damaged?
