  1. I made it with ptfe stainless steel braided lines . easy to route and durable . little bit expensive!! durable. its been 2-3 years summer and winter driving. no problems
  2. On transmission case its 1/4 npt . and on heat exchanger its 3/8npt and one 1/2 npt if I remember.. I put -8an lines on my 2001 so 2x -8an to 1/4 npt ---- 1x -8an to 3/8npt --- 1x -8an to 1/2 npt .. and fittings for cooler or coolers you use
  3. what's your line pressure?? there's a plug on helper side of the tranny. you can hook a gauge to see the pressure
  4. the tv cable is at the bottom. the adjustment is at the back of the bracket near or at the side of fuel filter canister. it's just a plastic clip that lock in groove for adjustment. take care to not broke the clip!
  5. check your tv cable for correct adjustment!
  6. Yes exactly for the money difference!!! and yes exactly you need money in hand if you found a real nice one or a deal. they're not last long!! More luck to find a good one for you guys in USA than in Canada. Here in Quebec there's a lot of rusty trucks even mine start a lot. Winter Salty roads of Quebec
  7. the whinning noise is possibly the torque converter???
  8. do you check and smell your tranny oil? if there's some parts in it???
  9. Maybe when the converter lock, the flexplate cork a little bit and touch those bolts!!!???
  10. Had rebuild my transmission by myself and had little trouble. I ask him for some help. Told him the symptoms and he pin point me the cause. We found my error and now it works goodé He knows really much these transmission and also a really smart person!!
  11. Maybe time to get a timbo apps!!! but mine work good until it get cold... this morning it was 0 celcius, the apps was 3-4 % after work at start up it was 3-4 % than take a stop at the store. When I restart the truck the apps was 2-3% .. Seems like when hot and after 3-4 start up the apps recalibrate or return at the good position itself!! really weird, hate that random trouble!!! When arrived at home I check for code and nothing .. All ok now its the apps problem that bugging me! Thanks guys for infos
  12. Yes I check APPS % with the edge module, same thing for the code!! In summer the APPS was fine like 0-1% but when the cold comes and grid heater cycling, it seems it bugs something . Apps goes 4-5% sometimes 6-7-8% . really strange. Hate technologie with the electronic hahaha thanks @likeoldford wish to find that problem!!!!
  13. yes maybe. its a strange problem. This morning I remove the rear speed sensor, wipe it and check for continuity. It was ok. For the grid heater relay. It has a wire unplugged! the little ones was too loose on the stud, so i take plier to pinch it.... I did the apps reset. Erase the codes. I started the truck and my apps was still at 3-4% (little less than yesterday) ... I go for a ride, my speedo works fine.... check for codes, had only p1693 and no other. I erase it. Tomorrow I'll see if it's always OK, cause the cold begins here!! Just a weird thing.. I take it to the town, the truck was hot and when I start it, even if it's hot the grid heater cycling a little ??? would like to know what tells the heater to cycling? like when cold to cycling and when hot not cycling at start up. Seems like a trouble somewhere else?? sensor?? ecm?? Thanks for help!! would like to run fine before winter!!
  14. Nice work!! will you try it on dragstrip?
