  1. Don't know how many Canadians on this forum and not sure how many people watched the USA/Canada hockey game tonight, but way to go Canada. USA gave you a run for your money by scoring to tie with 24.4 seconds on the clock in the third, but Crosby brought it back . Good game USA, your players done well
  2. So i've been reading this thread and saw the post about it kind of being wasted money on a stock truck...my trucks pretty well stock except for the lift pump and I have the XZT, would this upgrade still be a waste in my case? Also, how does the BHAF fasten in, or is it big enough it basically just lays in there and stays in place on it's own?
  3. :banghead: had to open my yap...mine worked like a pig tonight on the way home from work. Have never gotten dead pedal yet tho..watch now that'll happen tomorrow:lmao2:
  4. On the DSS, otherwise known as Dodge Steering Stabilizer . Thinking of ordering one to help the wanderning. Front end checks ok so I'm wondering if they're as good as they say http://www.solidsteel.biz/dss.htm
  5. Have mine plumbed directly too, if you get a leak it'll just make it smell like a real truck, not some prizzy flower pot LOLOL
  6. I asked earlier about additives because on mine I have experienced surging for the past two winters, seems soon as it starts getting colder out. At the advice of Mopar man I thought i'd stop using my Stanadyne Lubricity additive and try to 2 stroke. I can tell you coincidence or not, my surging has dropped off drastically. If I had to give an idea of how often I feel a surge now it's about 2 out of 10 times I drive it. Not saying the Stanadyne was the cause because i still have something going on, but it's not anything as bad as it was. My next move with be to take the IAT sensor out to check and clean it. Your situtation sounds quite a bit more severe than mine tho.
  7. Out of curiousity, are you running and fuel additives?
  8. So if I order I was thinking of the 30psi fuel gauge, 60 psi boost and not sure of the EGT...1500* F or 2400* F. Recommendations ? Probably could get away just ordering the fuel and boost but by the time i add a two gauge pillar to them it's only a bit more to add the EGT and a three pillarI'm thinking I soon have to order something because people are starting to make fun of my $15 fuel pressure gauge on my steering column...held on by electrical tape
  9. Thanks for that budvoss. I was wondering about the electric sender for fuel pressure wondering how good it would be. I didn't realize they had a mechanical gauge, must've just missed it. I'll have to take another look at their site.
  10. Is it just me , or is that lame of Dodge! Install a block heater but don't give you the cord to use it.....almost like giving you a heater but no knobs to turn it on
  11. Anyone running these guages? A buddy of mine just boughta 01 Cummins and hadn't a clue about the VP issues, I told him to get a guage on soon as he could. He sent me a link to these asking an opinion. I was wondering if a three set up of fuel, boost and pyro comes with everything as in probes etc that you need? http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/98-02-dodge-ram-w-speaker-custom-gauge-package.aspx
  12. Ths may be a dumber, but whats the purpose of the apple juice can ahead of the muffler in your picture MM? Mine getting a little cheasy and was wondering if i can just junk it when it goes or if i'll have to replace it. Was wondering if it's some type of emmisions junk
  13. I have one in mine on the one side, I think you'll find if you take the grease nipple out it will have the allen hex head underneath so you can turn the joint to the position you need. If there's no hex head, i'd be inclined to think it's not adjustable
  14. Sorry to keep beating this thing to death, but if you look back at my first post I commented saying that I have noticed this programmer has cold engine protection on it so it wont produce the HP gain until desired temp is reach in the motor. I have noticed a few times, one being this morning coming home from work that I had full HP gain when it was dead cold , which leads me to believe the programmer isnt doing what it's suppose to. As I said, this is the second programmer so I can't see both acting the same, i'm just wondering if I should be looking somewhere other than the APPS sensor. Anyone had any dealings with the XZT and had any issues?
  15. You know, I think that it is the 15 year old back yard mechanic kid that ends up making the best mechanics. Like the old saying goes, it's in your blood from a young age and you learned as yo went, not sitting in a classroom with your nose drove in a book seeing how it's done on paper and thinking you can do anything. My problem is I can read it, but just to do it is another thing
  16. My suggestion would be ..drive that Ford back to Texas and about a minute before you get there call the guy that sold it to you and tell him your bringing it back for your money..and soon as you see their building...Floor it! Give them a showroom truck . I would be livid, small claims court an option for you? Unless they had as is on your slip,it may be worth a try
  17. I've come to a conclusion...I wish I knew a tenth of what Mopar man knows!
  18. Nice to know, dealerships charge way to much for parts ..Thanks MM
  19. Thanks MM for that. The apps is more than likely as old as the truck because i've had it for 6 years now and I haven't touched it, so more than likely it was never replaced before that because there wasn't alot of miles on the truck when I bought it. I know to some it may be easy checking the voltages but I think i'll have to get a mechanic to check it because i'm nothing with a volt meter :banghead: Worst part where I am, you have to kiss someones a** to get them to look at a small problem like this apparantly because I have called a Cummins mechanic three times so far to see if he can fit me in and i don't even get a call back. Must be nice to be so independant
  20. Possibly the gauge going bad...I know it's been four years(if the guy is on the up with you), but maybe it's something simple as that. IMO, even if it's going to 5 psi the odd time when i'm going along,as long as majority of the time it's high like you said, I would still drive it until my pump gets here, but be prepared if it goes lower like 2-3 psi, to pull over and call for a tow rather than running it further and risk frying the VP. Just a thought as i'm typing...does the gauge have an isolator? maybe that's the problem
  21. Just came in from resetig the APPS, started it up and waited for my programmer to kick into high idle and nothing . Other than going to a Cummins mechanic I have no was of telling if it's at zero, but seeing that the high idle isn't working i'm guessing it's not. Soon just going to say the heck with the idle
  22. First off moparman, I apologize for emailing you with this the other day, i didn't see until it was to late that you have on here you request people to post rather then message you, i'm signed up now :banghead:.I have an 02 with the HO Cummins and I recently added the Quadzilla XZT module wanting the high idle feature. I hooked it up and I got the power advantage, but high idle woudln't activate. After many emails to Quadzilla and them being very willing to help figure it out, they asked me to send it back for them to look at it saying it must be the module itself. I should add they said it may be my APPS sensor not being at zero at idle and the module wouldn't kick into high idle if it wasn't, so i had it checked and it was zeroing. Now,they sent me a new programmer even though they couldn't get mine to act up for them, rather than making me wait any longer, I hooked it up and guess what, no high idle! Looking back at when I had my mechanic check the APPS, I don't recall him having the truck running when he checked it. His diagnostic computer said It was on zero and the posistion reading changed when pushing the pedal but I am sitting here now wondering if maybe it would read different when idling, making it not at zero ? I also notice that the cold engine protection feature in the 2011 download I have on the module doesn't work like it should and I can get the horsepower gain on a cold engine if i want it. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts as to why the high idle wont work? I hate to keep bugging Quadzilla because apparantly it must be something with my truck and not the module since two modules act alike.
  23. I've been running one of these pumps for over 2 years now and I wil say it's the best $600 I have spent on my truck. I went through 4 stock pumps before I found a website talking about them, so i researched it a bit, talked to Richard at Glacier and me and a buddy of mine both bought one. I maintain 16 psi@ idle and goes to 18 psi when driving. Stock pump may be on for a second or so when starting until the fuel boss kicks on, sometimes i wonder if I should have something geared up to run the factory pump once in a while just to keep it from seizing . I have broken one belt and that was my own fault, i backed through a hard snow bank about 3 ft deep and the snow packed up in around the pulley for the pump and must've twisted and pushed the belt off and it broke. I ordered a couple new ones and keep a spare under the back seat , but it's been there for over a year now. I can never say a bad thing about Richard @ Glacier, always top notch, always very willing to get the answers you need if there's a problem. I had a pressure issue when I installed, one phone call he told me where to go look and I fixed it no problem.(dirt in bypass valve from cutting the rubber hoses). Me personally, I don;t think anyone could go wrong buying one of these, but that's my opinion, others may not agree.
