I hate it and we got about a foot of it last night. I'm really missing out on $$ by not having my plow brackets for this truck... Sent from my rooted and Android-ROM'd HP Touchpad (CM9)

  4. How-to? LOL Sent from my rooted and Android-ROM'd HP Touchpad (CM9)
  5. Top hot-side hose was busted. Replaced it. Now I get to replace every square inch of insulation in the crawl space. Awesome..Sent from my rooted and Android-ROM'd HP Touchpad (CM9)
  6. I just don't see how the pcm can be 2 or 4wd specific but I don't know. I don't want to put a pcm in it if it isn't needed. I didn't get a chance to work on any wiring or lights today but will try to do so asap. I'm not negating anything he's told me, I'm just trying to understand the 'why' of it. Sent from my rooted and Android-ROM'd HP Touchpad (CM9) - - - Updated - - - Michael, do you know (or anyone else know) if there's a difference in harnesses for the 96 and 97? Basically, are all 96's 47RE autos, or were there 47RH? Doesn't the RH NOT have the 8 pin round plug?
  7. I'll be checking this afternoon, but as of a few weeks ago, all voltages were correct..
  8. Another big PITA with this water heater, is that it's in our crawl-space...:banghead:
  9. Dave, Unfortunately, you'll be pretty lucky to find them in a junk/salvage yard, just because they're sought-after. I've been looking in salvage yards around here for about 9 months, and haven't seen a single tow mirror yet..
  10. Ok, so here's the rundown..I replaced my electric water heater a few years ago; maybe 5-6 yrs. It's an electric unit, 50 gallon, 240VAC.A few weeks ago, I replaced the upper thermostat and both elements, due to lack of hot water.Last night, my daughter got in the shower. 10 minutes later, water was ice cold. This morning, I shaved and used a little hot water. Afterward, about 5 minutes later, I hopped in the shower.. Warm water was the best I could get out of it, and that lasted about 3 minutes, then it turned ice cold..I haven't investigated it yet, but this is insane. The breaker isn't tripped, so that isn't the issue.. I just don't know WTF is going on. The old elements, when I removed them a few weeks ago, had very little build-up on them. I mean 'very' little..I'm at a loss..
  11. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5117&d=1362110926 This truck really needs to be in the TOTM running!
  12. Sure, but your light output would suck for oncoming drivers, as the Sport headlights do not refract the HID lighting properly. HIDs are designed to be in a concentrated lens.
  13. Dave, the cord is generally located at the right headlight/grill area. you may need to open the hood and look just behind the bumper by the pass. headlight. That's where it generally hangs. As for the engine location, it's on the pass. side of the block, below the oil filter, in that area. Yours could possibly be missing.
  14. I prefer the single, as well. Sent from my rooted and Android-ROM'd HP Touchpad (CM9)
  15. One word... PUNCTUATION. Lol. :-) Sent from my rooted and Android-ROM'd HP Touchpad (CM9)
  16. He said something about wiring or the likes. I cannot find anything for it. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Maybe. However, looking at the wiring diagrams, there's no difference in wiring at pcm of 4wd or whatever.. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  18. I don't know 100%, so I can only go on what I'm told. Using the MODIS, we found the charted info here..
  19. Is there any difference between 96 and 97 PCMs?I've found a '96 auto 4wd PCM but not sure it'll work in my '97...
  20. That's what I'm hoping to saySent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Just a great picture..
  22. Oh crap lol. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 - - - Updated - - - So... I went to my buddy's farm this morning, and he plugged his MODIS into the truck.. Here's what we retrieved from the PCM:

ITEM RESULT

P/N 05012993 AB

EMMIS FED

CHASSIS RWD-HD-AT

ASPIRATION TRBDSL

INJECTION DI

FUEL DIESEL

YEAR 97

ENGINE 5.9L I6

FAN None

HARDWARE JTEC

BODY BR

TRANS 4-A/T

So, as you can see, my PCM is for an RWD truck, not a 4WD... Wonderful.. I'll be calling Dean (JR's friend) in a little while..
  23. Sorry, I was typing on my phone and it was cold as hell... I took the fss off of the IP arm and tested the FSS by turning ignitionon and pushing the plunger up. It held. So I adjusted it down some, reinstalled everything and it worked like it's supposed to again.. I'm not ignorant, I'm just working on something I hadn't fooled with before. And with everything else I've been dealing with, on this truck, a coincedental failure of the FSS would've been just par for the course. At any rate, I didn't get enough line to get the gauge into the cab, so testing the FP under load will have to wait until Monday.. - - - Updated - - - Ok, some things happened today.. I went over to my buddy Jeremy's today (Disturbed Diesel Perfomance) His pullin' truck: His DD/tow rig: He used his MODIS to pull some info from my PCM for me. We were talking about my truck, lack of power, lack of boost, etc.. He jumped right on it and started looking it over. Found out that the adjustable rod from the cable linkage to the back of the pump was wrong as I was only getting about low-20psi boost and truck was a pig.. He adjusted that rod and all I can say is HOLY _ _ _ _!! First punch out of the gate and I annihilated the 35psi boost gauge, it rolled coal and hazed the hell out of the DRWs! The truck flat-out became a totally different animal! A Beast! ...now, to fix the trans issues and I be a happy feller..!
  24. Not saying you will ever sell your truck, but I've said that before, as well.. Bear in mind that liner up to the windows... You'll really narrow your potential buyer list. Just sayin'..
  25. LOL I called about 8pm (CST) and he answered on 2nd ring LOLHe sounds extremely knowledgeable on these. 33yrs at it, though, and he should be! :)I'll definitely keep you all posted here.
