  1. 3 NV5600's For those that are interested https://highmileage.cummins.com/
  2. Eaton working good, getting a little noisey thinking this winter might try putting new bearings in it, but changed the fluid before we left and the magnets on the drain plug looked good, engine rebuilt at about 850k , just got back to hauling commercially, after having ankle fused. Got my own Authority so I'm all legal and everything. Doing a lot of boats, have a broker that calls me whenever he sells one and offers the load to me. 3 NV5600's
  3. Thanks, Mike! My engine was very clean also after 450K also. I guess I was just wondering if I could stretch out oil changes on the road to maybe 30k before the oil breaks down. Sometime hard to find a reasonable price to get oil changed on the road. I figured maybe change filter every 15k .
  4. Curious, never used synthetic oil, just wondering what kinda of miles I can get between changes. I usually use Donaldson or Fleetguard filters. Thinking of trying Donaldson Blue filter with Synthetic. All these miles will be highway usually towing something between 4-7k. Thx for any input.
  5. These riots always break out over a perceived racial injustice, but always in a city run by progressives, but blamed on conservatives. No one rioted in MNLPS when a Muslim cop shot an unarmed white woman in pajama's a few years back!
  6. Why does this always happen in Democrap controlled cities then get blamed on the GOP for their "racism" This has nothing to do with "Black Lives" Floyd's death is just the excuse. Read MNLPS police training manual, (51-311 I believe) (that specifically authorities this neck restraint (not saying it's right) remember this IS a progressive run police dept.
  7. What legitimate change? This happened in a deep BLUE City in a DEEP BLUE state that has had control over their police for decades? Where is the systematic racism? In the most progressive cities! These people are coming after you and me, TRUMP is just in the way!
  8. Got the bracket brazed and when turbo is installed there's just enough room for the oil filter
  9. Ended up doing a little cutting and a lot of tweaking, but I think I'm ready to braze the bracket.I think I have a few thousands from it hitting the oil filter. ???? Not sure what you're telling me.
  10. You my sir are lucky, I tried everything to un-gum my pump after it sat, even with no fuel in it. Hope it give you many more miles.
  11. Bracket is bolted to center section. Thinking about cutting bracket and tipping it up a bit.
  12. Well I was excited that I found an upgrade turbo a HE351W Ya the Chinese Holset.(since my PacBrake would bolt up) that was going to be bolt on, but the modulator? for the wastegate hit the oil filter housing. I removed one of the studs from the manifold just to get it in there. Now I need to determine the best way to make it fit. Thinking of bending the the bracket or cutting to move it up. Always up for suggestions.
  13. You'll need a Vp44 gear puller. I think I bought one one E-Bay cheap, not a tool you need to spend big bucks on.
  14. Guess just lucky original lasted to 453K. Diesel Specialties does it's own rebuilding, they're not just small truck diesel, they also do big truck pump rebuilding also (that's their main target) 1st replacement would still be good if it hadn't set so long.
  15. You say this sat for 2 years. And you have fuel to the pump, but nothing out the lines? You pump is gummed up, nothing short of replacing the pump will get you going. I'm on my second replacement pump , I get about 450K out of them. My last one sat for several years even with fuel dumped was still gummed up, wasn't getting any fuel to the lines, replaced pump fired off after cracking a few lines. The air will be in the top 3 lines of the pump. I have gotten both mine from Diesel Specialties here in Omaha, their branch in Sioux City doe the rebuilding (Bosch authorized) I think the last one was $1200 plus core.
  16. Well I slept on it overnight and figured I would pull the vacuum pump before the front cover and see if I could find the key, well just as I pulled the pump out the key dropped out and onto the ground, Whew!
  17. Tappet cover was leaking, so unless someone has an ultra secret procedure, I needed to pretty much remove everything that side of block , I have removed the injection pump before, being mindful of the key, but this time the key fell out. A) tear front cover off and retrieve key or B) hope it made its way to the oil pan.
  18. Since you have a S.O. pump , I guess it come down to HP you want and $$$ you want to spend. I know from exchanging mine they want the same pump coming back, I.E. S.O. vs H.O. pumps. But it depends on the power your looking for, S.O. from my understanding can produce more HP. Never did understand that though.
  19. I had a similar issue, not so much a dead pedal, but would sound like the exhaust was plugged, it was the VP44, electronics went out.
  20. Okay, I thought they had different part #'s. Thought I looked at it before and holes for the spring didn't match up, my spring is broken also.
  21. Please don't explain to much.
  22. Can you use a pass. seat cushion on the driver side with very little mods? I realize the seat part #'s are different, but can they be made to fit?
