I'm staring to feel a vibration from the differential when starting from a dead stop, especially when turning a corner, thinking my Trac-Loc is done, anyone ever R&R that carrier? I figure since there's no problem in the ring gear/pinion gear wear pattern, I should be able the replace those clutches with just pulling the axles (3500) non-weight bearing on the axles, just make sure I put back any shims that might be under the carrier bolts. Don't think I would have to even mess with pinion. Any thoughts? If I remember right when both wheels are off the ground,when a wheel is rotated both wheels should spin in same direction,right?

Big improvement, love mine. Yes, HX35 5 bolt flange for down pipe bolts up. Waste gate bracket interfered with oil filter, cut a V cut then bent and brazed. Now it a nice guide for installing the oil filter. It probably fits several OEM applications, maybe industrial. I know the guy sells them as a Mercedes performance part

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to order a kit and rebuild mine, was on the road in Florida when I noticed it leaking, didn't think of rod length when installing the reman in a hotel parking lot. I did figure out the rod was to long, but I think the alternate rod that came with the 2nd reman is to short. I do have two hydroboost's at home and am going to order a kit and rebuild on. But I took the rod out of my original, original, the one I replaced years ago and the rod is longer than both rods that came with the second reman. The 1st reman the pedal would almost bottom out sometimes, I never trust the quality of remans, the 2nd (I got once home) one seemed fine at first, but then I could gradually feel the brakes staying applied until finally they were smoking, by the time I got back to my shop the were all but completely locked up. Next morning was get a 3rd reman coming, I figured I try driving the truck, drove around for 3-4 miles no problem, was ready to get back on the road, went to leave and brakes locked again. Had commitments, put shorter rod in, still doesn't feel right, pedal goes to far down sometimes.

Originally I had a power steering fluid leak, found a line I thought was leaking, replaced, still leaked, replaced other line just to makes sure, ended up finally seeing Hydroboost leaking (didn't have a brake problem) Replaced Hydroboost, then intermittently pedal would almost go to floor, so got another Reman Hydroboost, now it's locked my brakes up, unless I'm doing something wrong it's going to be #3 reman going on this am.

Loren, Unbolt from turbo, get turbo off then that pipe will drop down and you can cut the bolts in front of the flange. Then you can heat and work them loose.

Will 3rd gen dually wheels fit over 2nd gen drum brakes? Getting hard to find tires.

Trying not over think, truck pulls great for me and anything I pull, just tired of cleaning smoke residue off trailers/boats. I have plenty of power, so that's not my motivation.

Thtx for everybody's response can't read all the articles right now, but from my understanding I should be able to defuel my engine up to a certain rpm to help eliminate smoke, right?

I would like to get rid of the smoke(excess fuel) at low rpms yet have the power to pull what I need. It seems like there is quite a conversation on getting the Quadzilla programed right, not sure I have the time to constantly play with it.

Thx, From this chart I think the switch went bad, the yellow line has no vacuum if my memory is right and that's on the lower actuator. Now when we get back home I'll recheck then off to U-pull-it. Need a Light switch also, headlights sometimes don't come on, and a Pass Seat for the drivers side.

Last week switched to defrost now I can't get the A/C to come out the dash vents, air is all directed to the floor, When on A/C I checked the actuator that's behind the glove box, it has vacuum and draws the vent closed. The actuator toward the firewall also has vacuum and works, the lower actuator that has two vacuum lines has no vacuum. Any one know if the lower actuator should have vacuum and to which line?

What kind of mileage you getting?

Since we're on the subject, my vent control got screwed up somehow, went to defrost, now it won't change back to the dash vents. In the Dash(AC selection) I have vacuum to the actuator behind the glove box and the actuator toward the firewall and both work. I have NO vacuum to the actuator that has 2 vacuum lines on the bottom of the unit.
